Ceramic Coating

Normally just after the coat, car will look very nice :) I'm more concerned about how it becomes 6-12 months down the road. I had Sierra Glow on my previous car and whenever it rains, there are lots of water marks which cannot be removed. The reason is because my house roof only covers half of my car so the dirty water would drip on to the other half of the car body.

According to the guy (Chong or something), it's normal and nothing can be done. I was like WTF. Obviously if we park under a full covered porch, there are no issues. I don't mind doing coating but just worried I end up with the same bad experience. Anyone?

My F10 was coated 6 weeks ago. So far I've been washing the car at least once a week as advised and the car has retained its shine. As I usually do the washing myself, I'm also very impressed at how easy it is to clean off any bird droppings or water stains. Even the brake dust on the 18" rims usually comes off with very little effort.

I recently noticed a couple of stubborn spots on one of the rims though. Even with plenty of elbow grease it's still there. I'm wondering if that's due to some chemical contact from some place else cos the all the other rims look great still.

GooI. ...my advice, send back to Ceramic Pro and see if they can help to fix it? Their after sales service usually very good. Do update us if they manage to resolve it for u.

OK thanks!

Hi guys,

Just got my F10 this month. Really love it!
Need some advice from you lots on coatings.

1. Is Ceramic Pro really good - lets say after 2 years? Does the gloss and shine still there?
2. I've come across Gtechniq. Any forumers got experience using them?

Thanks in advance.
Looking for a good coating to keep my car shine for the next 5 years. :)

Hey guys,

Proud to be a bimmer owner. Was indecisive of choosing between C300 vs 330. Finally, i made the right choice.
@SpursMy, it's been a month my ride coated with Ceramic Pro GOLD package. So far so good. Didnt expect my white car can be high gloss. And the water repellent thingy simply amazing. Wash the car by myself and it just find it, way easier to clean it.. I guess lotsa bimmer owners here are coated with Ceramic Pro. To me, the investment worth every single penny. For those who looking into coating, look no further. Ceramic Pro is definitely the wiser choice. I've done my 'homework'!

Dear SpursMy,

I have done my coating close to 2 years now. Car still looks great and still glossly after every car wash. I will update the photo of the coating this weekend as i plan to take my car for wash tomorrow. I will take a before and after photo for you to make your own judgement. But like bro Moses Hung mentioned, its a good investment with Ceramic Pro.

Addition to that, i reversed into a fire hydrant recently causing some scratches on the rear bumper. I showed it to Darren from Ceramic Pro, he told me as per their company policy and guarantee, they will recoat my rear bumper for free once i have done the repair and respray. Now that is customer service. I am truly happy with their after sales service.

Been a silent member in the club for quite sometime and decided to create an account to speak. And i guess this Ceramic Pro deserve some review from me. Well, close to 2 years get my 520d coated with GOLD package. Up to now, the shine is still up to expectation and been washing the car by myself. Water repellent still remain like 1st day coated.

Changed my shoes recently, and send back to them for recoat. Surprisingly not a single cents charged. This is a wow factor.

Quality : 10/10
Workmanship : 10/10
Durability 10 : 9/10 (1 point still reserved, but still great even 2 years)
Customer service : 10/10
Location : 6/10 (pretty jam in sunway)

Conclusion : So far, i'm a happy customer with Ceramic Pro.

Previously was dilemma of choosing which coating brand shall i go with, as there were too many brands out there and lotsa cap ayam brand. Glad that i made the right choice. How i wish all the BMW cars are readily coated with Ceramic Pro upon car delivery.

**Photo attached is my ride after 2 years with ceramic pro.

Dear SpursMy and my fellow BMW friends,

As mentioned on my last post, I did my coating close to 2 years. I am pretty sure as i just paid by 21st or 22nd installment to the real owners of my car....the bank!

I think it's also a good time to do a review of how this coating has withstand the trials of time. I just send my car to my normal car wash after its been collecting dust and bird dropping's for 2 weeks. Yes.....I only wash my car every 2 to 3 weeks. I did this coating as I did not want to be a slave to the car.

As you can see from the pictures that I have taken today, the car still looks shinny and proper. It looks as good as the first day I took delivery of this baby!

No matter how much dirt accumulates over the duration 2 or 3 weeks, the coating just ensures everything washes away with ease. Bird droppings that has dried up will immediate drop off when sprayed with the water jet.

Needless to say, the Ceramic Pro coating has with stand the test of time pretty well. Coating is one thing, how about the after sales service?

If u can see my rear bumpers,I had the misfortune of having some scrapes and bumps and dents. Showed this to Darren from Ceramic Pro, he comforted me that these are bound to happen and part of the ownership experience. He then informed me that they will RECOAT MY WHOLE BUMPER for free after I am done with the respray. Now,that's good after sales service! I am one satisfied customer!

So there you go....not only does Ceramic Pro coating last after 2 years, their after sales service also pass with flying colors!

Any of you planning to do the coating for your car, I strongly recommend Ceramic Pro. A few of my friends that has done it are equally happy with their work and service.

Just look for Darren and mention my name. He knows that if any of my friends were to complain,I stop all recommendations. So far....no complains!

As a side note, they also do the paint protection film to protect your car paint from dirt, grime and stone chips. This however is not cheap. But if u can afford it, their paint protection film is quite good as well. Seen the videos, might consider paint protection film if my pocket permits.

Another day another ceramic coating!Screenshot_2016-10-15-19-43-30.jpgScreenshot_2016-10-15-19-42-31.jpgScreenshot_2016-10-15-19-44-23.jpgScreenshot_2016-10-15-19-45-03.jpgScreenshot_2016-10-15-19-45-26.jpgScreenshot_2016-10-15-19-47-11.jpg

Anyone went with GTechniq? Any comments? They are nearer to where I stay so easier for me.

Hi F10 Crew,

mind to share how's the water beading feature at the back of your car since you mentioned the car porch only covers half the car.. For a fact, i know opti-coat would have lost its water-beading feature after even few months eventhough the coating is still intact (ie. easy to puff off dirts still) .

Tks.

Dear No.2,

Car has been coated by Ceramic Pro for 2 years now as i just renewed my road tax!! Water beading feature at the boot and all over the car still works well. Will try to do a short video during my weekend car wash but not sure if video can be loaded here. For sure, minimal maintenance.

Hope this helps bro.

I visited the ceramic pro few times...and each time there is a f10 there...hehe

It ain't me for sure. Many of our F10 crew send their rides to ceramic pro due to their quality of work and also their fantastic after sales service. Just goes to show the confidence the F10 owners have for their products.

Some even did 1 step better by deciding to go for Magnus Pro....Their Paint Protection Film. This is a better solution if you have deep pockets as it protects the original paint from stone chips including light scratches by shopping carts or slight exchange of paint amongst other cars.

Go have a look for yourself gentlemen!
