can we put an old plate no on 2nd hand car?

hi guyslet say i buy a plate no. WMM 50, then can i put it on an used car which i m about to purchase ?bcos i heard old plate no only can put on un-registered(either new or recon only) ?can someone plz advise me ?thanksDave

No.. you have to purchase a new car in order to use the old number. The NEW number will be transfer to the old car.

is that WMM50 registered on any vehicle, if it has then getting a cheap cheap motorbike won't helps either
