Can M52B20 rebore till 84mm? or 86mm?

Dear All bro and sister,

I own a E39 520i 2.0

I have look around forum in malaysia also oversea,
but also unable to get many information on this small engine...

My idea was trying to rebore the bore to 84mm or 86mm for gain more power.
please correct my stupid idea if it unable to work.

Just plan to rebore it or storker it when overhaul the engine.
swap the engine maybe an option also. just try to get more knowledge :smile:

if you ask me, it's a can of worms! go find a used m52b30 and be done with!

you need to get in touch with a engine specialist for that as tuning need to be done with those changes
