hi,just found out today that there is E30 205/55/15 size for Bridgestone Potenza RE001.Heard from the website it's the latest tire and it's the replacement of Potenza GIII. Any comments guys ?

i put them on my brother's e30 bro...205/55/15

quite a good tyre however not as good as the t1-R in the wet.

around 350. how much exactly did the shop quoted you if I may ask?

Plus, how is the performance in wet, dry, quietness and road holding.

i type one helluva long explaination then the comp decided to hang

Do they sell the Toyo T1-Rs in 205/55 flavour over here? Where? Price?

Thanks

i beg to differ, previously i was using the t1r and they really lasted me...

i used it on two track sessions and i still could use it on the road for another year.

toyo t1r i doubt they sell in this size...

u only could get a few branded ones in malaysia carrying this size - michelin, continental and bridgestone potenza

well, 205/55/15 is indeed a rare tire size.Michellin do not bring them anymore, same goes for Continental. All they have is just old tires back in 2000 to 2002. The RE001 is 2007 tire which is a good deal. But I have wish that Michellin brought in 205/55/15 pp2.

true in a way,

the contis i know are 2003 make

the bridgestone i got for my bro's 30 - end january 2007 tyres

I saw 205/55 listed on the Yoko AD07 catalog. Wonder if they supply it in Malaysia or have to special order? Anyone got jalan?

OTOH perhaps AD07 will be overkill for E30.:p

having it in the catalog is one thing, bringing in to MALAYSIA is one more...

sad our country alwiz gets left behind ie like the car models that singapore gets but we dun...

Just bought four Potenza RE001 and they are better than the Neova AD07 but my Pilot Cup is better than the RE001 though. RE001 was just launched few weeks ago in Malaysia here and I believe all are 2007 make. So this is good. Fresh and the latest tech. All the above three are considered 'semi-slick' and you really cannot go wrong with either one of them.

have always been using 195/60/15 and it's been good for me even for track days. Anyway, the BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tyres I'm having now is superb. can go at speed in the wet in Sepang.. That said a lot about it's wet performance.. And the tyres can last too... coming to 1.5 years with 5 track days and clocking close to 30k km aledi...

yokohama AS01 is available...RM370 a pop.

kuhmo ku31 is available too but got to import on special order....

contis are 2003, going for rm250 only - good comfort tyre, good for 5 fast laps at South Track Sepang before getting squismish in rear. ( driver no experience mah )

have fun.

nope, the re001 is not from thailand made. tombstone, can you check on the tire, where is was manufactured?
