Fab, you're probably right - it's more resistance than aquaplaning.Originally posted by fabianyee@Jan 14 2006, 08:44 AM
From what u described, that's no really aquaplaning. Or maybe I'm wrong.
Was the steering 'fighting' with u when one of the tyres hit the water puddle? If that's the case, it's pretty normal. The tyre is still planted on the tarmac but the water was providing the resistance on one tyre only.
the car is heavier too. the heavier the car, the more planted it will be in this instance.Originally posted by koryong@Jan 20 2006, 12:26 AM
I have 225 GSD3's on my e36 and they are extremely well-planted going thru HUGE puddles ....
You're right again ... the e36 is about 175kg heavier than the e30 ... Maybe not fair comparison, but the ST115s on the e30 before, performed much much better in the wet. So I still wouldn't trust the GIII under wet conditions.Originally posted by fabianyee@Jan 19 2006, 12:00 PM

any other feedback and comments? noise? braking? tyre flex during sudden lane change?
im using BRIDGESTONE PONTEZA GIII 225/45/17 (THAI MADE)Originally posted by LazyServer@Jan 27 2006, 07:13 PM
Good when dry but average performance on wet. I don't think it's a good wet tires. However, it's quite silent and comfort.
