Well.. the ride's over.. but the memories linger on.....

I would like to personally thank Red Baron. As usual this guy has come out tops as far as organizing a road trip! Everything was so well taken of! From our reception at Auto Bavaria East Coast Branch, The Monsoon Cup Venue, as well as the lunch at Temerloh, not to mention the road trip it self.

Fantastic job Red Baron and thank you for all your effort!! It was splendid!!

The drive was an uneventful one.. in fact it was very disciplined as no one over took the lead car driven by pussy and he was such a gentleman.. kept to the speed limit all the way. Over 1st stop was at Gambang...the weather was cool.. just great!

We got into Kuantan and our stop was at the Auto Bavaria East Coast branch.. a very warm welcome indeed.



it was a building with a basement and cars all over. A very nice little nook for us to relax in.





Our host provided us with hot drinks and as well as snacks..like sandwiches, roti jala, cream puffs (favorite) other equally yummy ones too!

We left Kuantan, heading for Kuala Teregganu, on the East Coast Highway.. a beautiful undulating road





Kertih.. a Petronas town..



We stopped at the outskirt of town as we had another welcoming party. The Cops!! Tarmizi of Temeroh BMW club thought we had been pulled over for speeding!!



We had 2 petrol cars and three outriders!!

If you are wondering where I am shooting these photos, its on the Monsoon Lounge!! Its like a Corporate Suite at the F1 Sepang race circuit!! We were feted with a buffet spread and drinks!! It was an awesome feeling! We were treated like Royalty!!

( Sorry the cameraman was busy either eating or watching the race!!)

We left the Monsoon Cup Race behind us and left for the hotel, with our police escort and another welcome waited us at the Batu Burok Beach Resort.

This resort was not very far from a public beach , whereby one could play netball, volleyball, football or even go fly a kite!!



and sea? you may want to ask.. well it was very very rough, in fact i think it was so fierce you wouldn't even want to go near it!

After breakfast , a few of our guys were up washing their beloved, Frankie and Botak.

After breakfast it was a trip to a Batik and Copper workshop

At the batik outlet



next door it was the workshop for the copper works and batik printing



moulding prepared, next is to pour in paraffin wax which will take the shape of the mould and then pour the copper into the mould.

Batik printing, being stamped on the cloth which will be boiled with different colors until the desired colors are achieved, Wax is also used.





Sarong which was made in Merang, being put through a machine to press and fold the material

We went to another Batik outlet..

Songket weaving by traditional means, its a very slow and tedious process mind you.



Hand painted batik.. drawing out the outlines of the design with hot liquid wax
