Anybody who has a genuine sense of passion for the roundel and the prestigious engineering of what lies beneath that hood is more than welcome to become an official member. Of course, approval of all membership conversion will still lie in the rights of the club committee.

We're still finalising plans to realise the factory visit by end Feb. Don't worry, we'll try to accommodate everybody. As always, priority belongs to official members.

As I have said before I am willing to join the club if there are activities that interest me.

The factory visit is one such event.

However if there are no more places available or the committee rejects my request to join the tour, I totally understand.

If my request is approved, I'll hand over the application form and RM300 to XXX or such other designated committee member at the begining of the tour.

Basically I need confirmation of this before I proceed to make my travel arrangements.

Good to hear that you're joining as a member and u can always organize "any interesting activities" once you are a member. We all normally do that and we don't wait or expect the comiittee or club to do it( no pun intended, considering the amount of other work they are doing like paperwork, memberships, subsidising, dinners, charities, etc etc) because WE ARE THE CLUB

err... I think the procedure is you submit the application form, pay rm300 and then request to join the visit.

but maybe, in your case, due to such anxiousness and enthusiasm, they will make an exception.

guys, please check the starter of this thread. It is anxious idea to have the factory visit in the first place.

Any progress on the organising of the factory tour?

I would gladly register as an official member if the club could organise such events!

Official members only, of course. Then I am sure you'll see an increase in membership.

U have been on this forum since Dec 2004, posting over 600+ post. You basically are familiar with everyone who's active on this site. I think you like this site else why bother contributing your thoughs will all of us here. Face it it's addictive right?

I've read some of your post, do admit some points they do carry some essence to ponder, think about and action on.

Thanks to you for coming up with the idea, now we all having this rare chance to see how BMW's are being made. Don't you want to see it through since it's becoming a reality now? what's holding you back?

Be a sport mate, and show up @convoy or at the front gates of the factory, better still show up without telling anyone of us and hand in the form and the fees, that's if you want to.......

I can assure you the guys they are all fun to be with once the ice is broken, maybe the remarks here and there have a bit of sting but it's all done in good fun.
