that's another concern. will it be a 2.5 or 3.0?

Was told by the SA the initial plan is to bring in 523i and 535i ... later onl the CKD unit will be 523i and 528i
The SA could be wrong tho

Wow nice... 1k more redline over the N54 and the engine sounds more like the N52 at high RPMS!

The F10 dashboard looks more interesting than the previous sand dune design with 7 degrees orientation towards the driver, and the engine roar sounds meaty. The 3.0 liter turbo, is using single turbine with valvetronic, unlike the previous twin turbo. Very rev happy!!! :)

Looks like the Dynamic driving control, Active cruise control and night vision will be the fun part of this model...really nice..

The dynamic *everything* control better be standard. Others already standard, such as Golf GTi which is cheaper than 320i.

Went to AB yesterday to check out their Premium Selection cars. Was informed by the sales rep there that the launch of the F10 would be in May. They are launching 523i, 528i and 535i. Here is the funny part.... all these models are 3 litre engines with different HP and the 535i is a twin turbo.

So I guess its the same as the European engines then...same engine with different state of tune.

haha yea that's the official engine. it's gonna suck for countries like malaysia which charge taxes based on displacement (as a result cars like the stupid gay mazda rx-8 with its 1.3 runaway with taxes eventhough it's one of the worst polluting and least fuel efficient car you can buy in this market), and this is very bad when the main competitor, the mercedes e-no klasse aka the german hyundai sonata(i think even the current sonata looks better than the e-no klasse). If you can afford the 535i....you're gonna feel like a winner at the end of the day.

on another note. this is what china is getting.

long wheelbase bmw f10. they are getting the 2.5 engine. which could potentially be the same as ours. they have a 523Li Standard which is detuned (aka no power) and a normal 523Li (more power)
