isnt style 42 is for e46? never seen one factory fitted to an e39. i guess those aussies want to be different than everybody else.

normally in the uk 530 sports are either fitted with style 37 (m-pars) or style 66.

Style 42 is for E36, E46, E39. Refer to the site below and click on the drop down button for E39 and you will see for 17' X 8' is for M E39 sedan and the staggy is for E39 M touring

I'm sad to say that I cant attend this week's tt if you guys decided to go ahead with it. Driving to Kuantan that night. Initially I thought we are going Saturday morning but checked with my wife last night and she said we need to go Friday night.

Yes but they have to consider the cost also. I think mine was GBP38,000 when new, compared to around GBP30,000 for standard 530is.

Replace broken undertray

My passenger side undertray was broken since the day I bought the car. Got a second hand undertray in the UK and only managed to fit it last weekend. Simple job, just remove a few screws and job done.

Luckily without checking I bought the right part with the exact part number. There are a few version of this, I just got lucky I found one exact one second hand.

Original one was badly broken, perhaps hantam some kerb in the UK.

Found this on the undertray when I removed the old one, had me scrathing my head for a while as trying to find out where it came from. Quick check on realoem.com with the part number reveals that its a cover cap for my alternator belt end, perhaps the mechanic who replaced my alternator back in June lost it under there and didnt bother to pick it up. Put it back in place and job done.

Extended SMG paddle

Installed the extended SMG paddle on Monday, havent decided whether I like it or not. If I decide I didnt like it the original one is going back in. Looks good but the feeling is not too nice compared to the original one.

Only one torx screw to remove to replace the paddles, 5 mins job.

Need to replace my driver side wheel bearing/hub. Quoted RM260 for FAG brand at Bomin Auto Jalan Ipoh, with RM50 labour. Will try to do it soon since its really noisy now.
