Most of us having an E30 will need to have really solid reason to sell... bcos there aren't many replacement car to get for the same amount it can be sold for... It's a collector's item...

true, looking for one now..found one on mudah, posted 3 hours, sold already... so the search is still on...

I know that la... I just want to know how it saved him. Was it a head-on collision, T-bone, sideswipe, merry-go-round followed by bumper car, car meets tree...?

After all, a car built 20 years ago before NCAP and all those safety features saving the driver's life is definitely better than a Kancil, Viva, Kelisa, Waja and all those MIM-Milo-tins-pretending-to-be-cars.

This can be a really big plus point in a daily drive.

Salut

Solo, i will answer the question, i hit a citra 45deg. T-bone at a junction, which the citra turn in without seeing me..i was doing 100km/h, the citra never slowed down..thats a 140km/h crash...

he only sustained some superficial physical injuries, like the BMW logo from the steering wheel hotstamped onto his left nipple. psychologically, he is consistently horny after the accident.

Hey Pumpkin,

Nope, didn't sell my car. Instead I spent more money on it & as datsunnismo says, it never ends. Already spent waaay above the supposedly "market value" of the car, so how to sell lah?

You still shopping/hunting for an E30?

Yups I'm still around, looking & searching..... :)

say, what do you guys think of this, a 87 E30 320i 4 doors converted with M20B25 Manual, asking price 17K? reasonable? The last time I came across a original 325i manual the asking price was 21K, but didn't know what was the actual deal closed....

See, that's what I'm talking about. An E30 is definitely a keeper. And even with no NCAP star, it still saves lives. I think I'm going to get rid of my Kancil and get one as a daily drive also.

Salut

thanks fabian for the advice....
so is it safe to say,for a newbie like me who doesnt want much trouble maintaining an e30, a 1.8L would be ideal?
the reason i ask is that, certain cars, due to the fact that their bodies are heavy, consume more fuel when paired with a lower cc engine, whereas a higher cc engine gets better mileage.like my naza bestari is 1.4l, but a 1.6l model has better fuel consumption.

to be specific, full tank on my 320i can hit more than 500km on highways. travel kl - johor - kl with a tank.
but around 380km on city drive. roughly around 20cents/km
hope this helps..

well.... from your WTB post to the time you update to the Rollcall list and the car type.... i figured it out lah....

I went to view that car too, but no test drive.... according to the lad in white peugeot turbo (forgot his name), a guy came and took the car out for a super loooooooong test drive.... hehe.... maybe it was you?

well, being a lazy bum.... i'm looking for unit which require less restoration work.... BTW, have you fixed the glove box?

all i was looking for that time is the car's engine condition.. may be thats y i got it..
nope.. wasn't me i think.. cause decided to buy right after i test drive the car.
bout the glove box i kinda diy it for now.. it's functioning properly now but still without the handle..

LONG LONG LONG way more to go...
