BMW Business Radio won't turn off

Having problems with the BMW Business Radio unit on my 2002 E46 318. The radio won't turn off after I turn off the ignition and pull out the key. This is the second time it has happen in the last 2 months. First time went to see a mechanic friend and he said could be due to water condensation from the air cond cooling coil which is just right above the radio unit. His solution was to tape up some of the cooling holes on the top cover of the radio. This seemed to have worked and didn't experience any more problem until today. Question : Anyone else experience this problem? What was done to resolve the problem?Thanks

I think I had a similar problem before, the radio turned off (no display on the LCD) but I can still hear music from the CD changer. But mine only happen once or twice then I stopped using the CD changer for ipod interface

Yes quite similar. The display goes off but sound still there. I pressed the on/off button on the unit itself and the unit did stop. But when I 'on' again the same problem props up again. I remember playing some CDs this morning.
