dude (ian) for the repair which was attended at the same day upon receiving your car apprx 4 pm ... darm you are lucky that it was fixed on the same day ...as he left his other cars and attended to you ...

don't you think this is a bonus point here rather than the hassle waiting to be repaired the next following day whereby ...time loss will occur and also other expenses etc taxi fare and many more ...

the breakdown looks pretty fair bro ....unlike other workshops

If this is your first and last .... bet it's not gonna be the last as this will be a learning curve for you to really know about workshop matters ...

as mentioned i think that selvam is a cool person ....

so for a mere rm50 more...i will care less ..... as long as i know my problem is attended accordingly and in a pro manner will do ... bonus is they repaired on the same day ...

so, wad shd be the normal charges? i send my car there for service as well and the labour charger is RM 250.00 . is that expensive?

Replace or repair work require skill,special tool and experience and those price expensive .... they not far from engineer.

Most of us take mechanic job as low class job so deserve lower pay than normal wearing tie and sales work for example ....

Another alternative is DIY ........... want give a try ?

ouchhhhhh!!! i might as well skip my PMR and be an apprentice at ah kow workshop so that by age 24....my skill will not be far of an engineer

Can't help but to comment, we need service and they provide service, who's the customer? forum is for enthusiat to share knowlegde, help out each other not to get chop/con, to get to know good yet honest mech or to protect those with vested interested. You decide....
Pay bill, i think none of us have got any issue here when it is clean hosnestly done, labour.. yes but do charge what is appropriate, part.. same as above. After all, this is gonna be their business that earn them the living, service.. I would have expectation.
