I suggest committee/moderator blackout/delect neither the contact number nor email nor address for the salesman which suddenly appear in the forum..Now committee/moderator only block the thread..Their stiil can get business..Juz my fart here..

Good Idea but sometimes if the sale does in away benefit you all especially if its car related, like cheap tyre or spare part, we may close one eye..but again if it is a persistent post then we may want to charge that vendor or delete the thread, if its viagra, porn and other crap that has no relation with cars or benefit to all of you we will delete it immedietely. Anyway ThanXXX for your feedback.

If the seller intro 1st then go with the true way, then no problem mar..But suddenly come out, then sell this sell that on the 1st post, what for??

I am currently moderating for another forum, what we do is we edit the content by moving his original content into a secured thread that only moderators can access, then we put in a warning message in his posting asking the poster to contact the our Administrator for approval. Failing which, we will remove the thread and block the ID and IP.

The approval process is pretty tedious, we will meet up with the poster (during TT or special arrangement) and examine their items for QC (quality check) purposes to make sure those items can pakai. Of course some back ground check through conversation, we will try to gather or discover if there's ill intention in between..

We do all this just to make sure non of our members get cheated or con by errant traders. Plenty of them out there.

The moderators have a duty to make sure a save "playing ground" for their members.

Bud,

The more products we are able to see and view the better. Like XXX said, it the joker goes out of hand then only axe him.

If we keep making this forum unaccesible to ppl selling stuff, then susah want to cari parts bro !!!

Seriously, I think we are all grownups here...we can think for ourselves....if we moderate here and there most of the time..I think we will need to employ a full time Moderator...as you all know, currently all of us here have a day job and the running of this club/site at this moment in time is voluntary....so it is on our own onus to check ourselves if the deal or barang one is buying is not a con job.
At the end of the day we just have to let common sense prevail.

We also need your eyes and ears to report bad dealings and postings which you think are not applicable to this forum.

forums do not have a duty of care to protect its forumers from potentiall frauds and cons as they do not require registration of details and verifications.its ridiculous to expect someone to sit around and vet everything, and meet all potential business seeking persons.

who so free ahhh??

If they are really serious of selling something they can come to the TT and members can meet them la. Can vet the stuff and create rapport.

Whaddya think?

Agree..We all are not on the time to monitor who are the conner..But at least the seller come out to meet 1st b4 they put the 1st post. What i reflected here is the seller which direct sells their product on the 1st post..

hard to judge by this criteria alone.
i have read some of the (desperate sounding) intros that goes like:
"I am here to sell products... I do not drive a bmw... am i welcomed?"

:thefinger:

this make it any better?? hahahha!!
