Bilstein Absorbers for e46 - Which one?

STOCK.......

( which if I am not mistaken is slightly firmer than stock on a sedan)

Thinking of upgrading the ARBs coz body roll is prevelant during hard cornering.

Lowering for me, would be more for asthetic reasons, thus it would have to be with progressive rate springs.

If possible, I would get the UUC Sway Barbarians 2 and the UUC lowering springs as well. (pricey la!)

Shocks will only be changed when the current ones die out.. Toying with Bilstein, but undecided on the Black or Yellows at the moment.

But all this stiffness and softness is so subjective. Unless you really experience it, very hard to say if it's right for you... hehehehehe

but i so far i got all the comments tat YELLOW is "stiff"

unless u like the driving feeling

hmmm

I hear you.

My body roll (e36) was also quite bad until I did the following:

- eibach ARB
- eibach on yellow bilstein, which lowers the car
- TOE IN!!! Front and back. Front toe in HELPS A LOT.

Note that the car can take a harder suspension if the chassis is also proportionately stiffer.

Stock suspension on 325 and 328 the way it is set up here in Msia I feel is too soft for the car if pushed. Almost overturned an e90 325 during a test drive at a cyberjaya corner.

Just to share with you guys some experience, the current sachs + eibach is comfortable and pleasant for daily driving and when it is pushed it behaves very well.

Experienced a couple of 90 degree turns on fast 2nd and the car just tucks in with slight oversteer, grips and go..

In the track totally different - i feel it could be slightly stiffer...

So what I am looking for is something slightly touter than my current setup but just dont know whether the B8 provides that...

Cant even compare the damping rate between the two...

guys & sifu

currently my miko is running on :

18" 235 40

ei bach + stock sachs shockies

i m wondering getting :

1. ei bach + black blis. shockies
2. ei bach + yellow blis. shockies

Actually, I was referring to stock of a coupe vs stock of a sedan (regardless of capacity)

Yes.. for normal driving, it's fine. Only when pushed in the corners and the S curves where direction changes are swift.

Im currently running on eibach + yellow blis. shockies. Just fit it last 2 days. (sorry leakwoon).

Yesterday I drove down to Kota Tinggi for wedding and get the opportunity to test my yellow blis

Yes, it a little bit stiffy but for me its fine. Unless u drive in a high speed a long ELITE Highway.
Somehow it's good too because I can see the chick's boobies next to me getting mambOoOO.Opssss
Anyway cornering is good! B)
