It's mentioned that the deadline is 31st October. How?

If can still join, I would only join if Fabian gives me a crash course. :D

Yeah, maybe i should kepoh and see how things are done first.

Never driven competitively before! I might end up driving into all the cones!

ah lian... are you joining?
cant commit... cos got many things going on... but will definitely try to spectate on the day if can... maybe can lepaks together there... eheheh...

I'm going to be very intrigued by the idea of having the autocross at KLCC car park.

I'm assuming it's the outdoor car park, near the mosque.

I can't imagine having an autocross in the basement car park. BUt yeah.. having the fastest entrance to entrance time may be an interesting idea. YOu know.. speeding from the tun razak entrance to to the jln pinang entrance ... you will go down P2 to P4 and up to P4 again... I swear your car will go airborne if you go fast enough and your front bumper will scrap the concrete unless you have really stiff suspension.

still open aaa?? apalah nik jomlah. not to win, just to see if we can still drive...

is it still open? if it is i wanna try, it's been years since i drove competitively...hehehe mesti berhabuk tak hingat! :D :D

Sounds like a scene from that malay movie "Gansgter" or something. An Evo and a Scooby were doing a cat and mouse in and out of the parking lot!

Ding... Like i mentioned earlier on in the thread, maybe i should just kepoh first and join the next run. Still kanak-kanak ribena!

Slalom between the pillars will be interesting. Make a mistake and pay heavily. haha!

Don't know if there's any UDM in the autocross since I'm not entering with mine. However, will still be driving a German bred there.

the drivers.... :D ada gaya!!

Was fun. Was too indulged in nasi ayam that i missed fabian and OSF's runs. :( Darn... Hope you guys did well! Someone still owes me a taxi ride!

It was great fun yesterday at the car park opposite KLCC, between Menara Maxis and Central Plaza (that old building with the Porsche dealer sign in front since we were primary school!). It was a very tight course (compared even to the SIC events) but as always, there were a couple of characters and really skilled blokes.

The LEGEND of the day must have been this t/c'ed second-gen black Z-car. Yep, the long RWD jap "muscle car"! Not bad skills too, given its prolly 4.2 turns lock to lock on that beast! Some of the regular drifters (i.e. MR-2s) were there, displaying their skills, though it must have cost them lots of time.

The Elises showed everyone what a devastating combo light weight, small size, RWD and supreme handling really means. Personally, the highlight was something we don't see often. The Euro-hatch three wheel characteristic. Golf GTI MK1 (Joe) and Golf GTI MK2( OSF / Fabian ). Remember when almost every pic of the Pug 205GTI had a wheel in the air? Ian piloted his Swift GTI and was really impressive (as he should be) but one expected a lot more out of Ivan's triple-diffed Rex.

I bumped into a lot of people from the car scene, and the usual yam-char tok kok sessions took place nearby. Though it was not a more glam event (in the ZTH show car kinda way), there were some ok-looking Chinese "umbrella" birds, but as usual, our attention was on the participants .

It was good to see a lot of young guys obviously trying this for the first time in their stock cars, and that those who stood out the most to me were piloting Wiras and Putras. Great driving, well-tuned smooth engines and sorted suspension.

There were 2 Golf GTi in the autocross. Mk1 and Mk2. and both owners are in the forum.

The track is pretty tight with 2 360 'roundabout' which would require yanking the handbrakes, something which I don't do. So instead of yanking yanking, we just complete the circle the normal way. Can't go too fast as it would go into understeer and cost u more time.

OSF and I shared the Golf GTi MK2 for the fun of it. It was a change of driving style, need to keep telling my brain to not charge at the corners and the 'roundabouts'. It was a good experience to drive a totally 'unfamiliar' car and get the best out of it. The GTi would be nicer to drive on a bigger track layout.
I supposed I did ok in the bone stock GTi beating the times set by the 2 drivers sharing the Mitsu EVO8... hahahha. However, the Kancil and Kelisa set respectable times. I could probably do better the in Kelisa.. hahahha
