Based on my previous car, the consumption for a two litre engine is about 1.4 litre per hour while stationary. This is equivalent to 4.4 cents per minute. So in 3 mins, you save about $0.13. Assuming your engine stops for 6 mins a day, that's a saving of $0.26 a day or $6.76 in a month assuming 26 days of effective driving in a month.

Apparently f30's have enhanced Bosch starters which lasts longer than the conventional ones. Lets see how that goes..

Some people arent so inclined to test it out :p

Well. I see no clear advantage using the start stop.

So I got it set to "Last User Setting"

No more irritating stops at the traffic light :)
