How many of us are law abiding citizens, and actually adhere to the 110km/h speed limit on the highways. My guess is many, including I, do not as it is terribly and extremely hard to do so.Therefore, are we no longer considered good citizens because we break every single speeding law there is in the country when we get into our rides onto the highways? Or more precisely to the point, do you not think the 110km/h speed limit is totally outdated and irrelevant because a lot of modern cars are designed to run effectively above 110 and at the same time aren't our highways capable of handling cars running above that speed limit? Every so often on the KESAS, I see myvis, vios and even vivas hogging the fast lane at 110 or 120km/h refusing to give way even after countless of friendly flashes. Eventually, I get 'almost' pissed off but after a split-second of consciousness kicks in, these people are legally right in refusing to give way because there are already traveling at the maximum speed. I, on the other hand, is attempting to break the law by going above the ridiculous 110kh/h speed limit. Many of us buy a higher CC car because of the better HP and Torque, and we are happy to pay for the higher road tax. But then again, what use is paying higher road tax when we can't use the features that we are paying high premium, and by using these 'paid' higher features we are actually breaking the law? Something to think about, doesn't it?
