Hi Seniors!!I'm new member here and just bought 320i and there's certain thing that might some input from 320i owner. I can't find any old thread regarding this issue hence would like to check with you guys first. There is this air con outlet on the centre of the dashboard that somehow let out air-con air, resulting in vapour forming on windsreen of car consistently. any one knows how to prevent the vapour from forming? Is this normal?I have tried adjusting the middle cool/warm air toggle in the middle console but no luck. I also can't turn off the air coming from the dashboard outlet (unless turn off the aircond). Checked with Quill in Puchong but they said this is normal which i think it's !@#$$%%^^^Hopefully you guys have input for this problem otherwise i have to drive every morning in poor visibility..bahaya oooo...better i drive my old Waja...Thanks alot.

Hi rozaidi83,

I have a 320D , eventually i went to Ingress auto with friends too to check out the problem. we have tested few customer / demo car there; there's a air coming out from the dashboard area according to them that cant be fix, but only can reduce the fogging by adjusting dryness for a/c ( located at center air vent )nearly to red color. well its work for me.

How bad is your fogging ? also E90?

Hi Sr20,

can't say very bad but still my visibility is not 100%...so this can be consider normal? I'm going to send my car for aircond inspection next week...thanks

Hi rozaidi83,

Hong from Quill Puchong....Quill PJ not able to identified the issue...see next week since i have to leave my car there for 3 days just to troubleshoot the aircon (which i think wowwwwww)... at least your issue fixed after adjusting the temp...mine not...they also advised me the same.....arghhh sakit kepala....

Hi rozaidi83,

rather than spending 3days dont know wether can solve the problem , why not try other dealers for 2nd opinion ? ingress is close to puchong also .

if i were you, i would look for others opinion 1st.

problem RESOLVED....they did not install the filter correctly hence caused this....

I have a 2011 320d iDrive with the same problem also. But seems to fix it when I use the Auto aircond mode.

You mean the cabin air filter? Where is it located? Can we DIY?

I have similar problem but I usually just turn down the blower speed and the fog will minimize.

what ? where you did the service? have they ever change or open before? that filter is actually located at the front part near the wiper motor area ( when open up the bonnet).

I'm interested to know how it's fixed. Find the fogging very annoying, besides wasting energy blowing cold air directly into hot glass surface everyday. In pre-E90 design there's a manual switch to close the top outlet's vent. But cost cutting has removed that switch altogether.

hard to say..mine one solved after they re-fit the air filter...so far still doing good....i have no idea if they hide something when they checked it...
