AC Grinding noise

Hi....Need some advice. My AC is making grinding noises especially during rainy weather whenever I town drive or juz cruising but when I go out-station no noise. People are saying its the compressor but it does not start immediately just about 30 min of driving then start making noise. Anybody with similar experience. Don't want to waste money on something which is not broken. Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure the problem is the belting. Change it first before you do other things. It cheap to do.

Does the sound occur when the aircond fan is moving? Then it could be your aircond belt tensioner. If not, get it check at Naidu ... next to EPF PJ, behind Shell.

i changed my belts, all conecting bearings and tensioners....smooth and quiet now...
