Going up Genting, powerful engine is just part of the story. You need good handling, a balance chassis and able to read the road and corner..

If u keep braking, no matter how powerful is your car, u may not be able to beat even the stock standard Genting Nissan Sentra taxi..

Seriously when I'm on "M" mode on my 320i, I have problem getting it right. The initial momentum is slow but once after 4k rpm, the rev meter shoot straight to the red zone and before I get a chance to up shift, the auto upshift overrides..

Very frustrated.. do u all practice your "M" mode a lot?

This still not consider the 530d with HARTGE chip tune up. Never disappoint you despite the diesel knocking sound which you totally cannot hear it from inside.

Anybody ever compare 530d with 530i. Which one is faster ? I maybe biased towards my 530d. On paper the 530d is faster than 530i right?

530d with 5.8 sec 0-100 and over 500Nm torque after HARTGE tuning.. I am the proud owner

On paper both top speed are the same, but the 530d reaches there much faster. Yes, it is the faster car. But that is assuming European standard diesel fuel. Not sure about Malaysian.

Bro, so far so good using our diesel? I saw some 530d with excessive black smoke coming out of the exhaust. Hope that isn't the norm. I also was considering the 530d before I settled on the 530i. Maybe when they improve the diesel quality here :wink:

I have a relative in Shell and he tells me that Shell is ready with a better diesel quality fuel already, but since some other company (read government linked) isn't quite ready yet, they have to hold back until then.

yeah i had M mode all the way to genting ... fun and fast all passengers complained heheheheh i said test drive ma ...:rock:

Bro, for your car, it might still be tunable, we actually have to take out the ECU from your car to have a look at it first. If yours is the latest version, then no one in the world can do the remap for it yet

thanks! with 20", my ride comfort was reduced by about 25% compared to my stock 18" with run flats, also luckily I'm on Toyos, which are soft compounds, if I were to have harder compound tires, I think the ride would be pretty bad. But honestly, 20"s comfort is still very much tolerable.

So when u coming to get your CCC upgraded to get your Navigation+Radio working?

anyway e60 facelift is end 2007- ...
but the n52 engine is from 2005-... so facelift and new engine is not the same.. just that after the 07 facelift the 523i have 190ps from 177ps and 530i has 272ps from 258ps...
anybody with v8 power 545i/540i?

I was given the same figure for my car of the same year registration and model by the GM of the local outlet when he caught me making a pass and winked at the sexy 530i model at the showroom:love:.

Now that my fidelity has been compromised:embarassed:, I'm looking for someone to take over responsibility of my current model. Pls msg me if anybody's interested.:listen:

Looks like it's the market price and not as good a deal as i first thought. Initially was told that market price was about RM310K-RM320K.
