You might want to try initializing the active steering youself to see if that clears out the problem. Turn the key so all the eletronics are on but do not start the ignition. Now turn
the wheel all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, and then back to center. Now turn the car off and wait a few seconds before turning it back on. If all it needed was a re-initialization, then you should be good now.
