318i N42 Gearbox Problem During Cold

I've problem due to my gearbox when cold time. Shift to D my car won't move. But if I use manual and shift to 2nd gear then the car will move and after 5 minutes I can use D as usual. Need help..Anyone have experince before??

Your gear box needs an overhaul. GM gearbox overhaul could easily cost RM6K. PM me if you are interested in a cheaper fix.

your ATF can be low, please check and fix the leaks if any and change the ATF and filter. Dont panic

#anaksarawak I already check the gearbox but no leak at all. is it possible ATF can be low if no leakage?

Its good deal oredi bro... I overhauled mine also about the same price. Recon gb slightly cheaper but it still 2nd hand. Take ur time bro...

I suggest change GB oil, I ve faced the same abt 3 yrs ago (N42 too), but later service oil, no issue till now.
