well everybody has spoken bro selvahraje46... if u can afford 6 potter go for it n personally after lookin at both uk n jap specs, story is tht jap specs travelled less (weekend cars) n uk may be used as car rental...

anyways take ur time(would be difficult to do... hahaha) n good luck in ur search

Yes, take your time
In my search I also found that Jap cars had less wear on the interior, and the UK spec in general, the undercarriage and engine bay tends to have a lot of corrosion from the salt. Jap spec cars had much cleaner undercarriages.

Well once you have identified the car (and so happens if it is a Japan spec) get a friend of yours who can read Japanese to read the Japan Car Registration Card. You will be able to tell if the car have been registered for everyday use or weekend use.

This is rather important as I find that most importers tweak the mileage of the car. Nonetheless, if you get a weekend car, it means that teh car can only be used on the weekends and public holidays. Hence, lower mileage and nicer interior. Furthermore with the expensive toll and parking, cars are rarely used in Japan. The Japanese spec also have other advantages:
the built in players are normally from Alpine, and the rear seats can be folded down.

UK cars tend to have worned out interior and undercarriage due to salt deposits that occurs during winter. Their mileage is normally on the high side too due to the long distances between locations. But they do have better specs and upholstery as it a very competitive market. Hence, the many promotion of free this and free that.

Difficult choice I presume? Dont worry...I was there too. I like what MrSamdol said...take your time. I guess, that is what I advice you too.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - SRI MANIS AUTO IN JALAN PUDU KL

they recently advertised a 328ci with so called M3 csl kit for sale.
i went there to have a look.
what a rojak looking car. bloody con job. it was just the csl replica front and rear bumpers with a diy made in malaysia quad exhaust. no wide fenders, no M trims.
worst of all, the car was kept locked and therefore you could only view it from the exterior and by looking into the window.
the salesman who attended me said his boss will only open the car up if i agreed on his asking price.
i told him to piss off and i left.
what an insult and arrogance.
bloody prick and jerk.
this is a car not worth looking at. i strongly do not recommend this company or the car to anyone who reads this.

hey guys so...i guess i narrow it down futher to 320Ci J-Spec...good.. k: so now have to really really look around....so far went to naza, auto crest in cheras, cahaya auto also in cheras and some shops in taman megah...but seriously ..its not ez as i thought...damn...its really hard to get satisfied on buying a car....heheheh

trust me selva, one of the first things the arrogant salesmen there will ask you - even before seeing the car, testing it or agreeing on the price - is how much loan you intend to take.
secondly, they do not seem well informed of the vehicle and its specifications.
they are extremely arrogant and so too is the boss. i suppose it's got something to do with the saying leadership by example.
as far as i'm concerned, they can kiss my behind.

I actually bought my car from there and they were very nice.... (salesmen la... boss was quite LCLY)
Maybe it's just the one guy that's rude. Another forummer also bought hers from there.
My experience with them was good. Very pleasent and accomodating to all my anal requests.
