I thought it would be a good idea to have a ratings system (or call it satisfaction survey) of our appointed bmw workshops :) At least these bloodsuckers know we are keeping a tab on them. we the paying customers. Rate them from 1 to 10 based on your problems solved or just overall satisfaction. Hopefully, we get an idea on who's good or who's just plain shouldnt be on the bmw appointed list. At the very least, hope this would keep them on their toes :)i'll start. Ingress Auto : 5/10

I think rating should be considered for various services offered.

1. Waiting time - Turn over time of each service or problem
2. Trouble shooting problem
3. Waiting room and facility
4. Spares part availability
5. Friendliness of the Service Centre
6. Charges
7. Complimentary car
8. Written report of service rendered.
9. Overall rating -

+1 for Ingress.. because near my house?! :p also the Service Advisor remembers my name?!

1. Waiting time - Turn over time of each service or problem
I always give them extra time by leaving the car there until they call me. Longest being 2 days, to fix steering lock problem
2. Trouble shooting problem
Reasonable. Trouble shooting is never easy la, some fixes takes more than 1 visit but so far so good la. All fixes need to follow protocol, fix one thing, test, fail, return for 2nd fix.. and so on. All SC is governed by such repair bulletin or protocols. Can't escape.
3. Waiting room and facility
Love their coffee and snacks
4. Spares part availability
No experience
5. Friendliness of the Service Centre
Yes! Very friendly
6. Charges
Standard wat?!
7. Complimentary car
Never hope or gotten before.. :(
8. Written report of service rendered.
Never see or given one before.. maybe warranty repair they don't provide
9. Overall rating -
Will recommend to friends

lets put some figures on the ratings guys... then can compute the average overall rating and hence can mathematically rate these bloodsuckers.

Blood suckers provide 2 years warranty on most non wear and tear parts when they replace for u while outside workshop normally don't provide.

Blood suckers usually will put back all the screws and clips after fixing something while outside workshop will lose some after every job, your car thus become lighter through time with lesser screws and clips.... :p

Different ma.. :)

Tian Siang Premium Auto, Ipoh

1. Waiting time - Turn over time of each service or problem:
Score: 9 - longest being 3 days to solve the door rattle and various rattling issues. Normally, all within a day. In any case, I always get a loaner car if time taken expected to be more than a day.

2. Trouble shooting problem:
Score: 7 - only issue is on the air con musty smell. Recurring problem, so the troubleshooting must not have been thorough.

3. Waiting room and facility
Score: 6 - I think the waiting room at Ipoh Motors for Mercs is better. Need to improve on the privacy aspect.

4. Spares part availability
Score: 7 - Longest time waiting was approx a week to change the rear turn signal known defect, which is quite fast considering the high demand for that particular item. Never experienced any major defect though to really test their spare parts stocking policy! And hope will never get to test that! (knock on wood!)

5. Friendliness of the Service Centre
Score: 9 - Maybe it's because I'm friends with the Director! LOL

6. Charges
Score: 6 - Normal charge levels for an SC. No complaints.

7. Complimentary car
Score: 10 - Never disappoint so far. To date, have got an X1 and a 523 as complimentary car.

8. Written report of service rendered.
Score: 6 - Normal. And as usual, no report received for warranty work, e.g. rattle issues, rear turn signal defect.

9. Overall rating -
Score: 60/8 = 7.5, which is Above Average, where:

1 - 2: Lousy
3 - 4: Below Average
5 - 6: Average
7 - 8: Above Average
9 - 10: Excellent

ya totally agree with u on the missing screws haha. But here i am trying to rate the OFFICIAL AUTHORISED BLOODSUCKERS, namely Ingress, AB (all branches), Quill, etc etc.

so come on la.

may I know why you brand them as bloodsucker?

I thought car still with warranty normally do not get charged for routine service and parts still under warranty.

Sorry, I dont use authorized workshop cos I cant afford brand new BMW.

Thanks to Jarance here is my re-rating of Ingress.

1. Waiting time - Turn over time of each service or problem

6. Charges
score 2

7. Complimentary car
score 1

8. Written report of service rendered.

bimmerdude, I think your 10 points rating is more comprehensive. :top:

Suggest other follow the same format to give consistence view and rating. cheers.

IMO, Ingress is the best service centre among all the dealers. 9 out of 10.

Thats very high praise indeed Schwepps. I used to think that too, but that was last year. How do u rate their problem solving?

I've never HAD a problem. :D But they answered all the questions I've asked before, eventhough the service manager had to research one of them and come back to me after a day. And they pick up the phone, which is more than I can say about the other dealers. Couldn't even get through to them. Overall feeling of quality of service and customer satisfaction rank high with me.

yes bro, you dont know how important eye candy is to a bloke nowadays. What with all the mad weather patterns, terrorists, the crime rate in our neighborhoods, the state of the politics in this country, the evil Proton and reliability issues with our babes, and so on and so forth. :)
