WTB BMW E46 Engine (M54)

Hello Folks,

My beemer got stuck in flood near my house last week and the engine is now condemned.
Sadly its an overhauled engine which was very smooth like an almost new born engine until i ran over the flood which i thought wasn't deep.
Too bad, that was the only exit/entrance to my housing area.

Now, none of the pistons have compression.
My mechanic suggested me to change the engine instead of overhauling it.
I was quoted Rm4.5k for that engine. I think its slightly expensive

My current engine is a 2.2 Double Vanos (M54B22 if im not mistaken)
I'm now hunting for the same engine or may consider upgrading to 2.5 (M54B25).
Can anyone suggest me where can i find a reliable engine with a lower mileage?

Sifus,a question..
Will there be any complication if i upgrade from 2.2 to 2.5??
Some says there will be wear and tear after quite some time if i upgrade the engine alone..
Some says no harm done changing from 2.2 to 2.5., im kinda confused..can some enlighten me?
