WTA E92 Rims And Tyre

Hi guys,My friend who owned E92 just changed his original 17" rims to Breyton 18" rims. with tyre 235/45.The manager of the shop put at the front 18 x 7.5 j and and the rear 18 x 8.5 and said that it is standard for E92.Just want to ask any sifus .... is it true ? ... what are the pro & cons ... Any input .. thanks..
