hmm, mostly will linger around 40-50k
but of course the unit will be subjected to some repair, same as this

Bro in most cases, when price are near we will go for models with larger cc, more standard options, cars that previous owner has done up with nice expensive modifications and etcs

noted, but AFAIK the exterior already converted to M Sport bodykit, ori or not, not sure
not much on the interior itself

does anyone have recommended workshop for me to visit after picking up the car
hopefully in Shah Alam, Subang and Sunway area
of course not the 'sembelih' one if i can avoid :(

Bring the car to wearnes autohaus at segambut, it's an official showroom and service center, they can do a full check for a small fee.

Bro, as my humble personal opinion please buy 323 or 325 or 328 that come with original M sport if you can. honestly Fuel consumption are not very much different but the smoothness and the power is what you must experience from BMW

There a manual 320 with 2.2 6potters engine on sale in the forum owned by an OM who love his car very much. Go for that bro...

Go there to check and have a full report so you are aware of the status of your car. Its premium but indeed worth the first check/diagnostic. Free coffee/milo at their lounge.

We will take you to our workshop for initial repairs based on your budget.. Some may racun you with some DIY project ie oil change and etcs

oh, so go to wearnes, have a diagnostic first, and have a full report, thats all
and all the repair needed will go to normal workshop, is it
sorry for the noob question, but what are the steps to do prior out of the customs yard
AFAIK this car already stranded for 1 year+

Yes... Do that so you have a detailed report. As for initial (safety) maintenance, I have mentioned on my earlier post, sorry the list is not short and they are not cheap even at the cheapest workshop but dont have to rush.

The MUST do are

1. Change ATF fluid and filter
2, flush engine and change new filter and oil
3. Change coils and plugs
4. Change absorbers if they are bad
5. Change tires and do proper alignment
6. Change fuel filter
7. Change all cooling parts not just radiator, expansion tank, water pump, thermostates, hoses, and many more
8. All under the car rubber parts
9. Service your aircon also check carefully as this is another costly repair if rosak
10. Change all brake pads and rotor wz ori if they are worn. Change the brake fluid with ori too
11. Make sure all lights are working and replace with ori osram bulbs if possible
12. Full check of electrical wiring especially cars alarm are modified, or your sound system are no longer ori. Simple wiring mistake can make you go crazy and burn your pocket. Check the fuses and relays
13. Make sure ACS and ABS are working

once i get the car, i would like to do the following 1st thing:

1. Change ATF fluid and filter (any idea how much would cost, how many liters needed. can DIY??)
2. flush engine and change new filter and oil (what is the recommended lube oil? how much the cost of flushing?)
3. change coil & plugs (i suppose this wouldnt be so expensive. can DIY??)
4. change tires as current tires already botak
5. change fuel filter (can DIY??)

regarding check under the car rubber parts, is there any rubber parts, i thought only metal parts
how to check ACS & ABS? by diagnostic??

appreciate to advise..

once i get the car, i would like to do the following 1st thing:

1. Change ATF fluid and filter (any idea how much would cost, how many liters needed. can DIY??) 8-12 liters as you need to flush. Our research point to use dextron IV as DexIII is no longer in production unless you are ok to use DEXIII castrol for flushing then fill with Petro-Canada Lubricants-Canada DEXRON®-VI ATF estimate RM100 for castrol dexIII 8 liters and RM250 Petro Canada 6 liters, ori filter RM150-200. workmanship RM80
2. flush engine and change new filter and oil (what is the recommended lube oil? how much the cost of flushing?) engine flush RM50, new oil semi shell helix HX7 RM89/99 per 5liters from TESCO or Carrefour, I do have 2 bottles in store if u want u can take both for 80 each. Filter 30-35 original, OEM 20-25ringgit. workmanship RM20-30 or DIY only need plug and filter opening tools plus oil pump. This oil change should be only 2000km since some sludge may still be in your engine. change the air filter too RM50 OEM or ori 80-100
3. change coil & plugs (i suppose this wouldnt be so expensive. can DIY??) each coil cost rm85 x4 and ori denso rm18 each from reputable shop ie Bavarian auto. You can DIY this.
4. change tires as current tires already botak. If rims are imitation change that to ori as cheap imitation rim make your car very unpleasant to drive. Champiro HPY or NEXEN 8000 RM 350-380 each for 225 45 17 are good yet affordable tires don't buy used please.
5. change fuel filter (can DIY??) can but best get the workshop to help, reputable OEM cost RM120.

Check my car as I have done most of the above

regarding check under the car rubber parts, is there any rubber parts, i thought only metal parts. No BMW have tons of rubber parts and they done last especially when the car is not driven.
how to check ACS & ABS? by diagnostic?? Yes via computer or test drive

appreciate to advise..

Don't ignore the cooling system bro! Never!! Must change everything, it's a must! RM1500 for this is most well spent.

For your safety, please replace your absorbers RM860 for ori BOGE automatic (made in Germany) very important!! You don't want to crash or lose control on the road especially in the rain at corners. This rear wheel base car is not the same as our Japanese or Malaysian front wheel drive.

Hope my reply can be some help bro. Do nego for 30k la if u r taking the car.

In Shah Alam you can try AMR technologies, in sect 25, sri muda workshop area, they have diagnostics tools to check your car. Fees are not bad.

ur advise sure helps me sir, no worry :)
i just propose to change partial of it
at least i can bring it back to JB
its just that i intend to check for cooling system & absorber another time, not the same day as i pickup from Custom at KL
to bring out the 35k out of bank already made a big hole to my pocket :)
regarding the price, which workshop charge that
does anyone have recommended workshop around JB, reliable & reasonable

hmm.. its really hard to nego until that much, bcos he also bids a little bit lower than 35k
its just that he dont have enough cash to cover this, as he also won Integra at the Custom bid, he never expect that

dear sir..
i am planning to pick the car by this week, maybe weekday
i'm hoping to do DIY for some of the item, but since i'm from JB and the car is in KL
i think no one could assist me for DIY since it is working days by that time
so no choice have to bring to workshop
can anyone suggest me some good workshop which are reasonable
i was hoping not too far since i will be taking the car from Port Klang

Mr. Laut,
My advice is , try to get a flatbed tow truck, tow it back to JB. At least you will have peace of mind that things will be done correctly and you can supervise the repair yourself there. The workshop in JB also is closer , should any waranty issues or defective/unsatisfactory repair issues should arise.
