Might be a wrong box la. But BMW oil filter not many variants, if can fit, then should be can use la. N54 is twin turbo wor! :top: :D

Update:

Bro! I have checked. Both N52 and N54 is using the same oil filter with OEM filter.

Part number: 11 42 7 566 327

thks for yr confirmation astro...u r the ever reliable guru here :top: the filter looked gd fit to me when they put it in,so should b same filter for both. Bavarian auto confirmed as well.

Southisalnd your car looks like a 335 mah....so gotta use the 335 oil filter lor...
Astor checked & confirmed that both the engines are running the same filter, so don't worry ya...

hehe... that's what I used.. :listen:

While at it... I am looking for part numbers for the E46 N46 dipstick to use it for E90 N46.. :p A handful of parts involved.. :D and yes, it can be installed!

Oh yes, I have checked the E46 318i N42 and N46 oil filter, both using same oil filter as the E90 N46. So I can just walk into any spare part shop and get E46 oil filter for my E90.. :p :D Who knows, might be cheaper.. :p

blk E90...dont b so kuacheong la  didnt know abt the website to check on parts...thks for sharing Zeedo.

I oso want a dipstick astro!

Aiks, I only research on N46 engine, now pulak need to research for N52.. darn... I should have bought N52 in the first place.. :p :D

Wait, I'll get u the part numbers.

Update:

N52 is debuted in 2005 and first car to adopt this engine back then was E60 523i, year 2005. I have check the catalog, this model has 2 oil pan design, one of them same like yours but both also no dipstick. So confirm no OEM parts for u unless you want to use the E46 M54 dipstick to modify (O-ring size also different at the oil pan mount for the M54 dipstick guide tube).

Check out the side of your N52 oil pan, there is a hose (thumb size :D) going in now, that's you oil return hose and that's where u gonna stick in your dipstick. :D

2) 11 43 1 717 666, O-ring
3) 11 43 7 505 011, Guide tube
4) 07 11 9 900 268, Hex Bolt with washer
5) 11 43 7 509 343, O-ring (Production discontinued)
6) 12 52 1 732 530 or 11 78 7 549 563, Cable clamp
