Which engine oil to use?

RM500 for refilling a little of engine oil is :stupid: Unless u willing to pay them RM410 for labor cost. Next time come see me, I give u 60% discount on labor and some more buy u teh tarik.. :wink:

Recently got my engine oil replaced at Ingress Auto, using Syntium 3000 LL 5W-30, costs 95 ringgit per litre, had to get like 4.5litre, total damage to RM403.75!

Had my first oil change at 5k km at quill pj for my 320d yesterday. They used castrol edge 5w-30 fully syn. Cost $85 per liter. Needed 5.2 ltrs apparently

I was told that 8-9k intervals is best if you really want to protect the engine.

Does Quill PJ have Castrol Edge SPORT 0W-40? If so, do you happen to know much they charge per liter?
