I've the Goodridge steel braided hose on my E36 & E46 4 appx 3 yrs without any problem. Should go 4 this brand.

So WHO carries Goodridge hoses in KL....??

check around for the hoses.. even the big tuners dun have it here yet.

best bet will be Rosedi , he will need the samples..

But a check with Freedie, said that he ahs yet to bring it in. If there is a demand, then he will do a group buy for the e60 guys.

ess530i, the calipers and disc's just finished stock, need to wait. as for the 545i and M5, it's completely different.

hi pussy thanks for the effort...i guess i will wait for the big boys to bring in goodrich hoses for e60.

to all e60 owners pls express your interest in the hoses here...i did steel braided hoses + brake fluid from eurocar for my e36 b4 n there was some 30% improvement in braking performance

how much does the goodridge steel braided hose costs for E46? and where can we get it? pls advice. thanks.

RM510. You can get this at Unstoppable Autosport. I just called them yesterday and they said they have stock only for E46.

Alternatively you can check around Sunway, maybe can get cheaper.

pussy, thanx bro..yeah,i think converting whole to an M5 or even a 545i setup would be the most cost effective way to upgrade an e60's braking capability..especially if u have a performance enhanced 525i/530i due to the fact the these cars are huge and relatively heavy.

Richard.. hope u find ur interim plan hoses.

here's some data on M5,545i and even 535d brakes..

M5 - f 374x36mm perforated
r 370x24mm perforated

545i-f 348x30mm solid
r 345x24mm solid

535d-f 348x36mm solid
r 345x24mm solid

no doubt upgrading to Brembos will be best but these items costs a bomb plus as Richard rightly said,u'll need 19" wheels if u're going for 380mm ones.and u can't just upgrade the fronts..u'll need to do the rear as well to get the correct brake balance..u wod'nt want a car that's unstable while braking..

i for one find my 525i's brakes utterly useless during heavy braking..doesn't give the confidence required for spirited driving on such a large car.

remember, brakes are equally as important as power.

hi super any data on 525i and 530i stock brakes? personally i find that the 530i stock brakes are strong enough for emergency situations just that when u're in 'race' mode then its gone...

these are what i have for our 525i and 530i,not too sure if these specs refers to N52 engined or M54 engined versions..

530i-f 324x30mm
r 320x20mm

525i-f 310x24mm
r 320x20mm

as u can see,the 525i ones are utter nonsense..i don't know why the fronts are smaller than the rears but there u go.and as far as i know, the 525i don't meigh that much less compared to a 530i.

ess350i, a brake hose is just like any other hydraulic line that is use in any industrial machinery. you can have them custom made with a sample for measurement. but our original bmw brake hose is already steel braided ler, i found out when i cut my e60 520 hose in two, even the aftermarket ones are made with the same hose but with an extra metal weave outside which to me is for aesthetic reason only. the i.d. of most aftermarket hose is smaller, that's why you have a harder brake feel when you use them.

i was looking for them as well for my 520 however nobody has them for e60. but lucky me a forumer here who works in the oil&gas industry know someone that can custom make them. price is 300 only for the pair but you have to wait for a week la. very good quality also.

hi dave thanks for sharing...it makes sense that smaller hoses make ur brake feel harder as there are less surface are to expand. in dat case theres probably no reason for me to 'steel braid' my ori 'steel braided hoses' so i guess i'll wait for someone to bring in the goodrich hoses for e60.

btw its ess530i...i wish i was drivin an ess350i imagine 5.0l sc in a 3! then i'll surely need brembos :)
