hi all i been searching high and low for this but couldn't find. am even thinking of buying stock hoses and sending them for steel braiding at segambut. anyone got experience with this to share? i replaced my stock hoses with steel braided hoses on my e36 before and liked them very much. thanks...

i've considered upgrading my whole brake system to one from a 545i..the brakes are bigger front and rear.wonder if this is do-able..i know a guy from Cyprus who upgraded his to a complete M5 setup, complete with perforated discs etc.according to him,its a direct bolt-on,but u'll need to get the whole/complete system la.also,it didn't cost him a bomb either, much cheaper than getting 380mm Brembos.

all those supercharged horses are gonna need some serious taming man..

ahh.. i know who has a lot of used e60 M5 calipers lying around his shop..

i will ask him for both ess530i and supergripen... see if he has both sets there..
dun know about the price. you guys can deal with him.

btw, the M5 is a twin pot caliper..

Pro-RS is pretty decent. I'm currently using them on my E36. They retail for RM340 for E36 but I purchased them earlier this month when they had a 10% discount for RM306.

Be careful on the steel braided brake hose especially the locally fabricated ones. A friend had an ugly experience coming down from Genting when the terminal snaps (poor crimping) when he came to a speed bump going down hill.

i was informed that he shifted..

I got mine from Rosedi like on the 10th this month. I'll be at a workshop near Rosedi tomorrow, will check to see if they're still there.

Thanks for the heads up. I think Pro-RS should be pretty decent la. I have friends who're using it on their cars and they're the sort that like tracking their cars and taking drives up to genting etc. (Turbo and NA).

Been used PRORS on my Waja, so far so good almost 2 years.
But my friend's satria no brake because of leaking .. He got it 2nd hand though.

However would try GOODRIDGE for my udm, renowned brand all over the world.

feisal thx but i checked with PRO-RS today the e60 kit is not available yet

pussy pls let us know bout the m5 brake kit

super i called a few used sparepart shops they dont have 545i brakes i think its pretty rare locally maybe gotta find in singapore or thailand...for some reason the brake market in thailand is hot i've seen a few 'less than powerful' cars using 6-pots brakes perhaps it is really necessary to drive in bangkok

checked with ultra-tune brembo 6-pot BBK shud cost around 15-17k and fits only in >19" wheels so i gotta wait for my 18" tires to wear out b4 replacin them

meanwhile...still lookin for steel braided hose as temporary measure so would appreciate if anyone could help. btw any comment on the shop in segambut which convert normal hoses to steel braided hoses? checked w bavarian auto the stock hoses r cheap only bout 300 for 4pc but no stock

pro-rs fella can make for u........and give u discount for being their guinea pig somemore......ask for rosidie....

maybe u can call shedden from exotic-mods in sunway damansara, google it to get the contact, they also advertise in motortrader

ess u can try @ motorsports division or eurosports or some other shops @ sunway

exoticmods, motorsportdivision, eurocarmotorsport...three hottest spot for bmwmods in msia but none has it... wonder what they are doin?? maybe just interested in sellin 20k brembo brakes...sigh

Hai ya just buy a pair of boots supplied to the FRU. When the extra braking needs arise just open your door and do the good ol flintstones style braking with the boots.

ess530i... i will ask my friend about the brakes and ss lines..

cheers..
