IMHO it's the same as it's a RED 413 series and both are from the same maker BOSCH

Does the blue label mean anything? It says 'BMW NA'
Apparently it was plug into my friend E36 and response very differently as compare to the one without the blue label.
Engine smoother and better respond..

maybe the DME was chipped... have u opened up to verify whether it's using an aftermarket chip?

NA - North America ECU based on the US Spec M50 M3 3.0L....so very powderful...

10/1992 E36 325i Sedan M50 USA Left hand drive Manual

a quick check based on the VIN no at the ECU..

If its from an M3 the VIN should be WBS instead of WBA..

ahh....yes and wrong... the US Spec also came in 2 different end bosch numbers #595 and #413 which had two different labels red and silver (for ews)

the #595 came in the 3.0L USS50 set-up and can be used in the red label 413 ecu but not in the silver label..
the USSpec 3.2 M3 uses the siemens ECU which is the same as the e36 328i ecu - 12141429999-BMW part number.

psst..i used to have both red/silver US spec ecu based on #595 & # 413... lots of difference...
