E36 818i Vs E36 318IS

Hello dear frens,What is the difference between E36 318i and E36 318IS?

what typo lah ...318i vs 318IS

318i : M40B18 or M43B18. both 1.8 8 valve SOHC about 115hp
318is : M42B19 or M44B19. either 1.8 or 1.9 16 valve DOHC. both rated at 140hp..

318is are mainly 2 doors coupe. except for the last batch with the M44B19 engine which comes in 4 door sedan as well.

However, not that E36 318is in the country compared to the regular 318i. 318is is imported CBU model where the 318i is mostly CKD.

I'm just a normal guy who drive proton daily and a big fan of BMW E36 car..
Not ready to marry an E36..
