good thread

i guess u really care for your ride, if everyone like u, car groomers will be out of job

practically I guess, it all come down with $$ & sense

My old ride was park in an open air apartment & frequently birds dropping , perhaps it was left there along time. Neglected...resulting....paint itching ...clear coat fail & ultimately...the paint became botak

cost me a grand to repaint

therefore.....carry along detailing stuff is excellent idea..every driver should

I am a pro megs guy...but i dun carry of its product in my trunk & under scorching sun ...as the substance will change & the composite too....like M80 & # 9 has storing problem in US, mover in Khatulistiwa Malaysia

therefore a least inexpensive & practically way, i found

1) get hold of a bottel of water with nozzle Ikea at 3.90 & fill with H20 cheap & safe ...birds dropping...spary on & let it agitate a while, wipe off with tissue paper (dun be a hero, using dry tissue la or cloth) otherwise it create more swirls on it

2) ONR (no rinse was) when i was selling my car, i need her to be on tip top condition , as park daily on the road (so, i had a bucket & an ounce ONR (30ml) ...1 bucket & 2 towels...ma ma mia clean shinny , smooth results

3) UQD is good but buy a smaller cosmetic bottle refill inside....at least the rest wouldnt get evaporated & substance changed (100 yen shop plenty)...why for wind screen or bird dropping...anyway they used it in Beijing auto show for cleaning fingers prints in the exhibition hall

4) step 2/ M80/M205 polish or autoglym polish refill into hotel shampoo bottle bottle with an applicator pad

above all a little preperation saves a lots of money....which is cheaper...to repaint your car or to take care daily???

i think u r much more a detailer than i am...my focus is for the car to look clean so i enjoy driving it more:top:

i use a number of meg products and i put em in travelling bottles to avoid em chemically modified as u mentioned

1. what brand of no rinse wash u use, i m not familiar w it lor...
2. I actually have a bit of wax as part of my kit for quick scratch repair - spray uqd, put scrathx and wax
2.do you have another detailing kit for long distance or a few days trip balik kg (where the need to wash the car arises?)

hahahahahahaha

what are u thinking, i just love looking at beautiful cars, same like you one who also loves to make our own car beautiful..... I am not a fulltime detailer but passionately loves to details others ride

i feel nothing harm if i can make good to look better

ONR is the no rinse wash, the coolest car wash, 1 bucket is all u need for the whole car....amazing results

I dont advise u to store wax, as carnuba or sealant will change their substance under heat, but a bit of mild polish will do u a lot of good, see u r on the road, u got a bird or mud ...how to use hose down, cwipe dry & wax??????????

Bro enjoy la yr trip not the car? i am a tour manager...i know what we are dealing with

so spray h20 & dry & polish if u got stains....or just walk away after u clean it

if u store quik detailer or UQD prolong in yr car bonnet, the substance wil chance & it has not effect anymore

i just came back from Kg...i just took the above & my pearl white looks white

the other thing i took along , u know i cant resist .........swirls & dfect

no need asked the dealer not to wax, why pre instill at assembly plant..trust me...i have many of them, the reason they wax is to temporarily cover them

Just detailing spray, the BMW Leather conditioner, a bunch of microfibres......left side of the boot is for the dirty ones, the right for the clean. Sorta like my bedroom....

the car wash near my home opens till 11pm.. so with 3 cars, i'm there almost every night

I keep it simple.

1 bottle of water

1 bottle of ultimate detailer

1 microfibre detailing towel

1 rag
