VIN never lies. Grant document can be played with at first registration in Malaysia.

VIN also can lie one if they re-punch/laser with the fake one..:listen:

try to get it first, if he gives it back its your luck. if not, you said yourself its not that much.

Anyhow thats the purpose of the deposit money lah, if everyone pays deposit and then retract they buy and ask back their money, whats the purpose of the deposit? You pay deposit so that he keeps the car and dont sell it to anyone else. If a prospective genuine buyer comes and he dont sell it to that other guy because he already takes the deposit from you, then you came back and requests for money back then he is in loss already. I think its fair if the amount is not too much.

That is a 100% must, dont be sympathysed by this story, if there really was a prospective buyer came he would've taken their contacts already if the car is not a definite sale yet.
