Hey guys,just out of curiousity,I just got myself a 2004 e60 530.This is a cbu unit.imported new(not Jap spec),How could I get the navigation system to work?evrytime I go to Navigation,it says insert cd or something.I'm new to BMWs(being a Merc guy all this while)To all you great gurus out there.Please help.Thank you....oh,also new to this forum and I just got a private message in my mail,the problem is when I cut and paste the link,it took me around the world.

Are there two separate disc drives in your car? There should be two. If your model is frm UK then i think the solution to your problem would be to purchase our BMW Malaysia Singapore dvd map and insert it into the dvd drive. I stand corrected on this but i think i should be correct. :wink: i presently have the 08 Map but im looking for the updated 09 map...we can combine forces do a group purchase for the original and duplicate the DVD:wink:

i manage to get a 09/01 map from my friend. Is a burnt copy of 09/01 map. Covers malaysia, thailand and singapore. I'll try to load in to sharing file but don know wether it works or not.

Right, it seems that there's no real interest in a group buy, and that M-sport66 is willing to share a copy, so I think this list is a little bit redundant now.

Also that my maps were updated at the dealership for about RM200 cos it's a HDD based system.

Can you confirm that the 09/01 does not include the DUKE highway and newer areas like Solaris, Mont Kiara? The DUKE's not included in my update. Thanks.

Edit: I just found out where I can find the version number for my maps, and it is indeed 2009-01, with the heading Premium Map - Malaysia Singapore Thailand.
