E46F,
does the car feels lighter from start with forged rims compared to original. i'm sure fuel consumption will be better too.
enjoy your ride!

It feels more responsive, and while on a roll and you wanna increase speed, its more responsive there and i'm starting to notice the fuel consump needle doesnt swing as far to the right. Then again I'll really know for sure after a bit more time from the FC readings. Also nowadays its CNY and traffic is different, so i'll need to get back to the routine to really compare FC. Whats most noticable is the braking performance. Much sharper and responsive which I didnt expect to improve that much.

A good test is to do another test run with a comparable 18's wheel to see what kinda difference lighter forged wheels make in the sprint. It's likely better, but the question is how much?

Looking good E46F! :top:

Noticed that you are on Toyo T1-R rubbers, any comments on the tyres so far?\

Btw, Happy CNY to all! :)

Its rather noisy, so definitely not my kinda tyre. The orig RE050A RFTs were significantly quieter. Grip wise, I feel that the Potenzas were also slightly stickier. In summary, I wouldn't recommend it to others heh.

Hehehe... another item to add to the shopping list. BTW, if you wanna take over my RFT RE050A, it's yours!

Stumbled on this on E90 post. Bretyon's latest Race GTS wheel which is due out anytime now. I think looks great, and its prices similar to replicas as its Made in China. For those shopping for wheels, these could be worth waiting for..

I paid RM 677.83 for the Mobility kit, E46 what was yr price?

Thought ide share this here : I just received a call from Edward who imports Bimmer rims and such from europe. He now has the Continental kit available - 50 units.
Pricing is 600+

I suggest calling him and getting the full details. It may be worthwhile for those who are no longer on RFTS.

Hope this helps.

I think there's this punctured tyre refill sold at hardware store like ACE Hardware for less than RM50 per can. Its a kind of liquid that will patch the leak and the can itself will restore some air into the tyre to get you to the next petrol station to properly refill the tyre. But I hate foreign liquid rolling in my tyres la... not good for the tyre balance...

Even the punctured repair kit that comes with few pieces of inserts and an insertion tool cost only RM5 per pack.. okay buy a 12V motorised air pump to refill tyre which I think should not cost more than RM50 la..

Why RM600? No understand.. So does the kit use one time only? I understand there's a can of 750ml sealant, which u need to pump in? Then after use oredi, the set no more use lor? I think the sealant can use many times la..

And I think no kit can repair puncture more than a cm wide.. so I think the kit is not worth it. Keep the money for our membership better.. oppss... !

cabutzzz...... :D

As posted, for those who are interested, kindly call edward for details on the contikit, as i am not sure how it works. I am merely sharing the info on availability, as there were several e90 owners who shower enthusiasm the last time i mentioned it....

For those who are not interested and feel that buying a rm50 repair kit fits their bill, i salute you :top: However, If you have not bought or used this rm50 kit, then i would suggest you dont promote it. If you have used it, kindly share the positives.

Cheers.

:D message taken in good faith.. :D I take back my words.. because never pakai before.. :D my bad..

Actually I'm not promoting it, what for? I am NOT making a single sen out of it.. just sharing an available "option" that's worth exploring (to me la).. and if those felt it's rubbish, don't listen lor.. RM600 would definitely give you better piece of mind as what they always say, "money will not buy wrong things".. it should be correct as fas as quality is concerned..

Your money your choice ma..

Peace!

I went with the M Mobility kit mainly cos the sealant provided is safe for the rims and can be removed from the rim upon repair of the tyre, and is safe for use with TPMS (which we dont have on our cars anyways). Cheaper alternatives, will likely cause permanent damage on the rim from what I understand.

Also the tyre has to be inflated up to a certain pressure based on the manual before its safe to drive off. Not sure how much air the can type sealants can fill to, and if its underinflated, it'll likely damage the wheel and tyre as well. I look at it as a good option, and read the guys in the US actually use it as well to fill up air on their cars using the pump with gauge without going to the station lol.

I've seen the Breyton rear spoiler in pics and tot there were really nice. Then I saw one in real life on a black E90 in Singapore, and it looks a bit wiered... Kinda don't belong there look, and 2 other folks with me also agreed. Then again, looks are subjective. It certainly different for sure.

I ended up going with the M Tech boot spoiler, and its being sprayed now in Stuttgart, and I'll be installing it later today on the car. RM800 painted and fitted for those looking for this. Initially I prefered the ACS rear spoiler but after time, I prefer something more OEM kinda look and not so aggressive. The E90 M3 rear spoiler makes the rear boot deck look like a GI Joe's short hair crew cut, which is ok, but I prefer the M tech one cos it make the rear bootline extend a little more to balance out the extension caused by the bumper. Again, it boils down to personal taste.

The boot spoiler in my signature yellow TAXI is which type ne? I think its ACS.. yeah... too aggressive... The M Tech is more subtle while the Breyton is adding a few muscles to the already muscular looking E90.. :D On picture, it looks alright.. maybe like what E46F said... need to look at the real thing. And my E90 is black, so it may look alright compared to having the Breyton boot spoiler on a clean looking Silver E90.

Awaiting for your M Tech photo ;)

I trust E46F's research which is usually extensive. Anyways, the group buy is still on, just that I haven't had a chance to check best prices now with a lot of fellas still off for CNY. Bmrocket, please bear with me and avoid puncture, heh!

Another look at the Breyton boot spoiler I just found..

Looks different..

The M tech bootlid spoiler is on the car and the front and rear look of the car is complete.

The last and final mod will be the lowering, then I'll officially retire the mod hobby haha. Waiting anxiously for a good deal of KW V2s to materialize hopefully sometime end of month...

I'll snap final pics of the spoiler together with the lowering once its all done as a closure of my short lived hobby :D
