hi all, i'm currently driving a (e30)m20b20 L-jet , and petrol consumption after some comparisons shows that mine is exorbitantly high, like 20liter/100km or so. so i sat down and meditate with my very little knowledge of cars, wondering why. i' smell bad petrol fumes coming out from my exhaust , and my stainless steel exhaust tip turns yellow within 2 days everytime i polish it. is the staining a cause of overly rich mixture or petroL? if it is, isit possible for me myself to tune anywhere? cos back when i was having my volks, i could just tune the air and petrol intake with a screw driver ...i know lar that one is carburetor.. . well, cos one of the forummers told me that L_jets are tunable without the electronical gadgets. thanks for sharing guys.cheers

bro the good thing about l-jet its that u can tune anything...for more info do give me a call...012-3666090

Hook the car up to a CO machine and check the CO level.

Also, please check if the odometer is calibrated properly. Once I drove an E30 where one tank of petrol only lasts 150km, then when on the highway I realised 1km on the odometer equals to 2km on the highway markers!

aiks

hehe my trip meter /odometer is goner. it doesnt move anymore. so i roughly gauge my daily route distance by my gf's kancil. well, RM10 lasts me like 30km.. thanks very much joe, will give you a call later and hope i get some enlightenment. ;)

cos driving an e30 in my impression shud not be like always fixing my eyes on the economy-meter and fuel-indicator rite, ? hahaha.

ciaos!
