Hi All, Just got my 320 (E46) about 2 weeks ago and now I'm encountering this transmission error sign when I start the engine every morning. If I switch off and start again, the indicator disappear. This error started to occur in last 3-4 days. Is this normal to happen in the morning? Appreciate if someone can shed some light here. Thanks!

Since the car still under warranty, I did send for check this morning but there was no fault detected during the diagnostic. Strange ...

Better go and check it can be either the Camshaft Sensor faulty or even your oil cooler already will kaput soon.

I guess u should know what is the meaning of warning indicator lights ON. Of cause u need to send to the workshop and solve the problem. Hope your problem solve asap.

Bro, what did you do to fix the problem? Honestly, I'm not sure because I just got the car and it's a recond model which has no history from previous owner.

I got the same error recently, caused by faulty crankshaft sensor under the intake manifold. When diagnosed, you'll get 3 error messages which are crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor (intake & exhaust). Camshaft sensors usually can be reset but crankshaft sensor will need to be changed. Crankshaft sensor is requires quite extensive work (need to remove intake manifold) so change that first, camshaft sensor are located at the front so only change it the error can't be reset.
