Kby88, love to hear your experience n42b20 5 speed manual and upgraded brakes on sepang.

AS,
the brakes serve me well. However, after 4,5 laps, it starts to lag, need to brake earlier. I need a better brake pad. The TEXTAR oem pad cant take it i think.
Handling was great. I had UR front & rear strut bar + Front & rear ARB. But as a newbie I still had difficulty to maintain proper racing line especially entering and exit T9 in a better way.
Engine xboleh lawan those monster la. But its a nice car for me to learn driving in Sepang.

Conclusion, the driving skill is the most important thing that need to be polish up.

Brake fading can also be due to the brake hoses expanding if you're on stock hoses. It would be reduced if they are upgraded to steel braided ones.

Yeah ... It was like go karting with so many cars on track. I loved it! Unfortunately, my CRaZy is underpowered. I think for NA cars, Homda ruled la today. Those darn EG/EK makan the e90s alive la.

AS ... wanna see your video. Hehehehe ...

Mavis ... Got the nice shot of my sticker?

Guys ... Keep a look out, we gonna do an outing to Sepang circa June. For those who never remit etc, this is an opportunity for you to track your bimmers and see what they are capable of. Not all out driving but judt to know there is more to the car.
No la, I didn't take it. I think JS took a picture of it. Will get it from him hehehehe

Nice to meet u guys too.
Mavik, im sorry for going into ur lane and u need hard braking =(
My side mirror too small. I need a new side mirror....
Hahaha no worries man, its all in fun at the track :)

Need huge sidemirrors otherwise can't even see those fellas in the Westfields and Caterhams. Those cars are so low and small, when they zoom past also can't see them.

I have the pic..LOL Will upload tonight

I like the organisers rule on overtaking. Rear car's problem. Less stress for us slower cars!

When on track, don't make any unexpected manoeuvre. Hold your line and those faster cars from behind will anticipate and find a way past. Or signal to move away from the racing lines gradually.

As for side mirror, was it because it wasn't set properly instead of just small? With a proper side mirror set up, u should only see just a bit of side of the car or just out of view.

Set properly but on a wide track and a very small racing cars (Caterhams and Westfields), you tend to miss them when you do quick glances. Definitely can't see the rear mirrors because those damn cars are smaller and lower than the top of my boot.

Who's M3 had a run in with a toyota dx? Hahahaha... saw a friend posted he kena langgar by a M3.

Mine was not a proper side "mirror". Most side mirror will have a bit concave mirror. mine was flat like normal mirror to see our face handsome enough pr not...he
It was like that since i bought the car 4 years ago. Previous owner put in ACs side mirror but dono where he got the mirror.

My M... :( front bumper slight damage. Not me driving though... A friend drove. Didn't drive after seeing the Subaru burn up and so many cars spun around me! Not a good day for track novice. Hope for a clearer track day.

Tianci, what's happening in June?

Plan to join the open track day which is during the weekday. A lot less cars but a little more pricier as well. Last time we went in February, the track was clear! You are alone most of the time. Can do a proper time trial there :)

Couldn't drive after the Subaru burned up, took them 30 minutes to clear the track.

The safety car came out quite often as well yesterday.

It was my first track day experience and in an E36 CI manual. Many thanks to nitedevil and slyder for the driving tips.

Next time bring this la better

Tengku Djan's M3 overtook me a few times making it seem like I was stationary!
