Just got back from AB Penang......could not rectified where the sound from....but they put more greese on the railling.....Will test it out....should not be the seat belt as my seat is way down....and there isn't any contact between leather (arm rest and seat or so wht ever).....

Congrats on your purchase Stepheno.

My 2001 325i can do about 260 to 280km before it reaches half-tank. I think your achievement of 300km at half-tank is quite good.

My car also has creaky front leather seats. It's caused by the leather contacting with the plastic cladding where the seat adjustment controls are placed. The creaky noise is a bit less now after 4 years, but it was an inherent problem on pre-facelift E46s and was rectified by the time the facelifted E46 was launched.

Yeah Lee.....Maybe you are right on the seat rubbing on the plastic cladding.......I was thinking of that too.......But on normal daily drive I do not hear it anymore....it's just on the highway the other day.....Hope it goes off.... ;)

By the way, any of the northern gang planning to go for the AB/BMW test drive day in Novemberin Penang......? Maybe I can meet up and introduce my self to the kaki... :D

This is another strong argument for a lot of us to wait for facelifted E90 b4 taking the plunge! :p
