My just bought E46 is going into the workshop for the replacement of all wear and tear. The intention is to drive out from the workshop 2-3 days later feeling like new car or at least close to the feeling of driving a new car. A list of "thing to do/change" in well in place, ,,,,,, with only 1 which I cannot make a decision yet.The car is a M-Sport so it came with M-Sport susupension and it is still in acceptable condition, if given a choice, I would like it to be replaced as per the reason above but I could not get my hand on a new M-Sport abs so my mech ask to change boge where he cliams that the height will be more or less the same. Ya, I don wish the car to be any lower or higher vs the current set up. I believe the next good choice will be the adjustable. So, sifu any advise?

I would suggest that you wait for new M-sport abs. Though Boge maybe same height as M-sport, the feel and ride of an M-sport abs/setup is different.

Stick to Msport abs unless you go for aftermarket ie bilstien. Its not bout height only oso bout handling

stick to msport abs. once you change to other brand, you lose all the balance dynamic setup. msport abs are tuned to match msport spring(slightly lowered & stiffer) and if you slap a boge abs into it...you figure yourself what will happen to the ride/handling

Gerald5,
if ur really msport dont try boge
sure couldn't match ur coils
i've bad experience on it

the best is to get abs as per original
chk the ori abs part number for reference
in my case(318Ci) i just put up order thru my mechanic/w'shop
& took a month to get it

E39 M-Sport cost 1900 each for front from Bavarian Auto.

I wonder E46 how much. Bilstein B8 may be a good alternative.

Call BA, inner power and was not given a specific price as they ask me to consider B12 but told me that it will be lower than the current set up, when push further about the price, they said have to check and it is going to be expensive, need to order from UK la, Germany la. Final push was an indicative price of 1k plus, btw, was quoted the B12 at 4k. I think I gonna hold onto it 1st. Thanks for all the advise guys, truly appreciate it. Friday TT at papa rich is on ka this week end?

msport abs,
for e46 front 1.7k each. rear 1.0k each.( 5.4k in total ) got to order from germany

OMG lor, sad for those msport owner and myself. abs only cost 6k, if replace booses all and suspension and mounting, i think will cost a 2nd car atl RM15k. must invest more on TOTO or magnum liao.

my friend 330ci their abs quoted cheaper than mine.
the reason is sport abs not msport. obviously we can see the diff in drop.
then only i knew there is the possibility of sport versus msport.
may be like h-line versus msport. ( Just to share! Correct me if i'm wrong )

Wow didn't know msport version is quite expensive. Been sticking to Bilstien B8/Eibach or H&R combo all this while. In this case would be more value for money than msport.

i think B8 will be a good replacement for stock Msport abs. Monotube B8 cost around rm2700 at the moment if not mistaken.

agreed with all of u bros,
as alternative go for b8/b12 bistein, if able to suit msport spring.
