Clarifications please. Is Dyno tuning similar to re-map?

Yes... Dyno tuning mean you can comparing result before remap & after remap

You mean to tell me dyno alone cost RM1k, right? The last group buy for dyno test was only RM100.00. I think normal dyno price should not be more than RM150.00. So yours is dyno tuning meaning workshop will fine tune your ECU map to attain the desire results, right?

So what is the price for re-map??

sorry for late replied... anyway you can directly call this person 016-287 2282 (AC Tuner)... he did the tuning for me... i crosscheck result is actually increase 10%-12% from stock vs remap... the car now is very smooth in low RPM which help my car move faster in town driving

Going to tune for my e46 328i on dyno soon. anyone interested dyno tune together? basically he can tune for E36, E46, E34 & E39...

To clear the cloud I guess best to call up AC Tuner and enquire what they offer.

And also per bro dominic:

Autoimage Motor Garage Sdn Bhd.
Contact: Ak Kwai the boss 0122189330

I need to get remapping done by mid June too.

I don't think further interogating tkk will yield anything that I could 100% understand.

Folks, could I have interest check on how many of you would like Bernard to travel to KL and provide remapping services for our UDM, for a fee?

I just done my E39 in BVO. Waiting for a chance to do on my E87 as well.

If there's a chance for someone to do real dyno tuning on the car, not just remapping by +/- on the fuel map as per the normal remap basis. but a real tune of your car based on the hardware you have. which means you can run bigger injectors, FI setup, stroker upgrades etc.

Would prob cover M5X engines, and maybe S54 too. Just wondering what would ppl for something like this? RM2k? RM3k?

hehehe...only u so far. nav mind, let me see if i can get the details first.

thanks bro..quite interested since the tuner will be present and take into account the hardware mods done..btw just curious, will these remaps/tuning stay on the ecu and doesn't revert to the original setting after awhile?

reading all this ECU remap, makes my fingers itchy. Hunger for more power...hehe. Anyone know when is the next time Bernard is coming down?

looks like tkk not responding. well i will call up the guy and let you all know the price for re-mapped. stay tune guys.....

I would be keen to re-map if Bernard coming over to KL as he needed a few that will re-map in order to make the trip to KL. His price is much more lower compared to DKTuning.
PM me if wants to know both pricing so that we avoid conflict among them.

Hi All,

I had check with my mechanic where he is from Porfomance Motor SG.

I had bring up this remapping to him as i wish to increase my car HP but his feedback is, doing remapping will damage the ECU and shorten it's life span. Thus, such action is not recommended.

My car is E60 520i

This mechanic is either unqualified or he did not know much about re-map. No such thing about re-map will damage ECU or shorten it's life span. If you want to know more about what is re-map and benefits, just search google for the info.

I would say any authorize dealer is not recommend their customer (or BMW owner) to do ECU remap no matter Performance Motor in SG or Auto Bavaria in M'sia.

remap can be done for both auto and manual bro..but manual more ooomph la :)

plus i heard some remaps have extra special features for manual, like higher rpm limit etc.
