Dear leesh and all for that matter,

Please do not just read the title of this thread if u are really interested in the beemers. If you read thoroughly, u will see what had transpired and other replies as well including mine. Also, not all facts were revealed as the matter has been addressed and solved by relevant parties and I dont think it is wise to get into it again.. I don't have any problems with the service and after sales service there. Sometimes u just gotta keep your head together and realize that in order to be treated well, u must treat others well first and also the truth must be spoken in order to get the CORRECT response ;) Problems will arise no matter where you spend your money. It is how u handle the problem that matters. For every action, there is always a reaction, right?
Anyway, I currently have 4 bikes in my stable and ALL are BMW and ALL are bought new from Auto Bavaria Motorrad Division. From the first bike (not the current 4), service was great. Why else would you think I'd continue buying and keeping BMW bikes from the same place? And I don't service it at any other place except at Auto Bavaria. Yes, people do make mistakes. They are human by the way :) So, if u base your decision by reading ONE thread or a few mishaps, then I am sorry that you'll be missing out on some GRRRRREAAAT FUN!!! which outweighs EVERYTHING ELSE... It's a pity that it will be YOUR LOSS... I have ridden a lot of bikes for 20 years now.. and BMWs for the most of it.. just like the cars ..once u go that way, there's no other u'd prefer but BMW.. for safety, I put my trust in BMW. I had been in a lot of circumstances where if I was on another bike , I wouldn't be here typing this. Is there a safe motorbike? Well, is there a safe handgun? There is...if u know how to handle it and know YOUR limits. Same goes for a car or anything else for that matter. What matters is what is in IT that can make it safeR..Safety is not just about for yourself but those around you as well. Safety is in your hands or foot as the case may be..I only ride as fast as I know I can positively stop for ANYTHING. So, I know with a Beemer I can ride fasteR.
When I did the Metalbutt Endurance Challenge on 26th Nov, if I was on any other bike, I wouldn't be here typing this.. I was doing 170kmh on a long straight road between Bandar Muadzam Shah and Segamat, an 18 wheeler tanker was in front about 300m , i gave signal and was continuing the momentum maintaining speed to overtake since the tanker was slow and there were no other cars in sight except for a blue Yamaha RXZ which I passed just prior to the overtaking manoeuvre. As I was about 100-150m or so , I saw the tankers head turn right. The tanker's body was still straight. Immediately I slammed on the brakes. My pillion slammed onto my back. I was holding onto the brakes for dear life. In my mind.."I m gonna be under the trailer next!" However, the bike was so stable. It maintained straight vector. The ABS can be felt working its money's worth in GOLD. I stopped exactly right in front of the second rearmost wheel of the tanker as it was moving to the right side of the road. As my pillion was on my back literally..and after the braking manoeuvre, I just cant hold the bike upright anymore. So I just let it down slowly on the right. Phew! There is only a scratch on the right pannier (box) . Other than that, the bike is fine. I picked it up and started it up as the engine had stopped on its own. Meanwhile, the RXZ rider went up to the trailer and scolded the hell out of that poor old man for not signalling. He kept quiet. Apparently, there was a clearing on the right side of the road and he wanted to make a U turn. He was now parked with the cabin head facing the road and the trailer parallel to the road now. He looked perplexed and scared looking at me picking up the bike on my own.
I started the bike , rode up to the front of his tanker and gestured to him to use his head and eyes  he gestured back apologizing. So I said OK and moved ON.. Well, I suppose he did look but when he looked ,I wasnt there..then 2 seconds after there I was.. but he should have given the signal light indicating the intention. Anyway, I continued my journey again at the same speed having full confidence in my 'steed' :) and ended up the first to arrive back at KL Tower after 1636 km in about 18 hrs.
That tells a lot about the beemer , doesnt it? Very reliable, though at times were hitting insane speeds and maintaining it. Enjoying the corners were awesome. The best was enjoying Grik to Jeli from 4.30 am to 5.40 am in the dark between 130-140kmh! That was an awesome experience. This R1200RT is awesome considering the size. Very comfortable yet very energetic and very reliable. How else would I have finished the ride in such a manner? I am writing this so that my fellow would be riders wont miss out on the experience by listening to 'stories' Find out for youself. Hey! Life is a gamble too. So make a wise choice. U need any assistance in choosing a bike, feel free to call on me.. I d be happy to show what the bikes can do.. For first timers, I'd say "Go for IT" . Don't be stopped by stories from people whom have not even ridden a bike or a NOT true biker in that sense. I taught a lady whom have never ever ridden a bike ,kapchai or wateva,to ride and now she's riding the S1000RR with confidence and she was interviewed on TV9's Nasi Lemak Kopi O program last month. All u need is self confidence. Power is in your wrist and not just in the bike. U can get the same mischief even on a kapchai if u dont know how to control your mind and wrist. Mind over matter. If U don't mind. it doesn't matter lah! :) also another reason as to why I chose BMW..it is because I am such a busy person(& lazy also :D )that the beemers are perfect. This is because it is so reliable. I don't have to worry about maintenance. All I know is , when the time is up, I just call Garry to send for servicing at Auto Bavaria. I leave the headache to them. Other than that, all I know is I wanna ride and ride and ride.... and not worry whether i had done this or that... just fill up fuel and wallop!! Yes , their charges are higher...but my time is worth much more.. so, if u can afford it , why not..if u can't , well u gotta do what u gotta do..as long as u can enjoy youselves and do whatever pleases yourselves and your budget, it doesnt matter where you send for service..the ride matters...the options is there..for normal servicing , what I gather is the difference is only about between RM100-150 comparing to servicing elsewhere..For me, it's worth the peace of mind ..plus for me Glenmarie is only about 7 minutes from my house. :)

Cheers! Happy hunting and ride safe !

suddenly change of side n change of comment.....

hi , u r a motorrader as well ...what bike u riding now ? ya lah bro ... I m sharing the same experience as u r .. i sent my bike in exactly 4 weeks ago for servicing and some warranty things , and still TAK SIAP lagiiiii... reason being too many bikes and too few people .. imagine only nik n jef handling all the bikes in Malaysia that's still under warranty .. so cant really blame them ... have to blame SUPERTOP management lah ... and since last week only Nik alone at the workshop ... pity him .. i think shoddy workmanship is due to lack of manpower ... so evrytg done in a rush ,so i basically told 'em to take their time but when it is ready , it'd better be GOOD.. but I just got some refreshing insight ... CHEAR MOTOR is getting the BMW dealership ... SAPURA was bidding for it but CHEAR got it first ... the BMW bikes are damn good but the dealership has a lot to be desired ... BIASAKLAA BRO desired ... BIASAKLAA BRO something to BMW Malaysia about Auto Bavaria ... Repl
