Steering Feels Heavy

Hi guys,For the past two weeks, my car is experiencing this very heavy steering problems. The problem is more pronounced when the car is fully warmed up.I cant make a full turn to either side. It feels like driving without a pwer steering.During my last service about a year ago, changed the power steering fluid to the non original bmw ones, as the workshop I went, didnt have the original ones. ( couldnt remember the brand though, but its red in colour).Assuming that I flush and change the fluid back to the original bmw ones, what could other possibities be?Really appreciate some feedbacks....Thanks

bro,i osso use non bmw ps fluid.it's ok to use any atf dexron 3 atf fluid.

Hmmm...wonder whats the problem then? steering rack? pump?

Any one with similar problems or have encounter such problems please enlighten me....thanks...

Here is a method to check whether the power steering pump is give u problem.

Open the cover of the power steering fluid holder, ask one of your family member to steer to left or right. See whether the pump is sucking the fluid or not.

If the level remain the same, it is the pump that fail.
