Some Advise on 318 , 320 M - sport

Dear all Good Day ,I'm new in here and this is my first post . I have been searching for some information about this ride. and really interested in it. I search on Motor Trader price for 2004 318 M - Sport price around 140K ++ and no idea for 320. So i need help on this 318 M- Sport anyone on you here driving this ? how was the car ? maintenance fee i know will be higher than other japanese car. i am really interested in this ride. is it only M- Sport provide sunroof ? really new in this ride . so before i get this car by end of year i will like to know what is the best and what is the worst for this car . I know there are many like me to ask this . but i really need help on this , since i believe everyone here should be enough to provide me good information! :top:

I got mine E46 - 325I MSport - end 2004 for 138K last Nov. The price should be much lower for E46 318i now.

318 = pussy car, 4 cylinder with 2.0 cc

so 325 can hit 200 kph easily.. you will be very exciting in highway to enjoy the powerful car
318 have to push very hard only can hit 200 kph... you will get frustrated easily and wonder why you buy pussy car.

318I with 1998 cc engine is quite OK. It not a pussy car lar. It all depend on what you are looking for in a car. I use an E36 - 316i before I got the E46 - 325i. Both serve it purpose.

I drive my E46 most of the time now but I do take out my E36 for a ride once in awhile. :love:

Oh yes, I dont need to hit 200 kph with my 325i. In fact, I always let other overtake me on busy road. :stupid:

BTW, owning a BMW is not about racing or showing off but to enjoy the Sheer Driving Pleasure.

Not Really after the power actually , by the way i'm not using it on West Malaysia , i'm from sarawak so the road here are not so long for me to make it 200kph . i like E46 model for quite long time , but i need to know more about this car and plan to get it soon , 318 , 320 , 325 , big diff on the price range ? as i know motor trader 2004 318ci m - sport 140K , so for the rest must be higher?

bro, a 318i is considered underpower as compared to a 325i but it is by no mean a pussy car.

If want to compare, then a 325i is also a pussy car when compare to 330i.

problem is whether the driver can handle so much power and the driving condition of our road.

Agreed...Then M3 guys will be calling the 330 a pussy car too.
Power is not everything. it all depends on personal preference.

get the 320i with 2.2 cc ....there are 2 versions of 320i ...the 2.0 and 2.2

the 2.2 is kindda rare but it comes with all the goodies ...like sunroof , mtech bucket seats , black roof lining covers , sports suspension and many more ...

not sure about the 2.2 variant is available at sarawak ....

if you are going for power,better still buy an M-series, 318 maybe for those who want to use it as a family car (seldom drive fast)..dont say pussy lar..they are safe drivers
