Thanks for all the input.

Went to view one so called "320" by dealer this morning. Thanks to all the information found in this forum, I managed to spot the engine VIN number and the engine model is N42B. The dealer still continue bluffing 6 plots, 2.0cc...He instantly shut up when i point the logo "318" at the back of the car. Hahaha. Anyway the bimmer I view is a 318i 2.0cc model year 2003/2003. Mileage around 98K with full service record from Auto Bavaria. One owner. Original asking for RM94K.

Too bad I'm looking for 320. I might consider that car if I can't find a 320.

Johntelu, mind to share more information about the 320 you are thinking to let go?

that's the nature job of any salesperson - to canvass, convince and close deal. he/she will make your mind entangled so that you would put your interest into it (in your case, still a bmw of a different model). once this has been "successful", well the ugly betty would be seen as beautiful as shakira.

Cant find 320 ? im selling, but today 2 buyers confirmed, only price different 1k-2k from my expectation. Many buyers are looking for 320 cause the reliablility. Im the only dumb fella who own 320 for 4 months and selling now after spend almost total 30k :D :D wat to do, fall in love with another wife :DDDD

Perry congratulate on your selling. It is true 320 really hard to find.

Saw one 320 2.0 Japan spec mileage around 100K 2002/2007 one owner asking for RM91K, wondering it fits the market value?
Too bad the owner has lost his service record book (not sure how true it is), but he claims that I can check it with BMW Auto Bavaria. Is that true?

Fred, 100k mileage on 02/07 is abit high, probably hes using daily or as salesmen. Service record is stated which workshop, for me i will directly call the workshop and check whether is true or not. Like mine, i will bring my buyer to M1 (place i service) and provide all the record 1st owner, Jack uo the car and let buyer inspec any faults or leaking. Even we are selling our car, but of course let the buyer to satisfy with the purchase. Condition on body, chasis, rubbers, bushes, absorber and all neccessary major items must be inspec properly to avoid of spending much on repair.

I can say myself is choosy type of person. That is y i view around 70 units of 318, 320 then only choose the best condition but not with accessories. The main concerned to get a 2nd car :-

1. Condition - engine, interior, exterior
2. Accident free
3. Well maintain - servicing
4. Selling price - year of manu and registered (how many years been driving in malaysia bad road condition)
5. Accessories

The reason why i never put selling price at 1st is simply because cheaper price doesnt mean value to buy. You might end up spending 10-20k over to fix the problem. Newer Year of manufactured also doesnt mean condition is better than older.
Market value for 320 is around 90k, if the car condition is superb like mine and comes with records, accessories, why not we pay few thousand more, like im selling my UDM 97k. Instead later on spending thousands on repair, but the car u bought is cheap. End up the car u buy and spend is more than 100k ++. So it is better to choose the best condition even price is higher ?

Bro still pushing your sales ya, i though u have committed to 2 buyer as u mention earlier he..he..

The buyer said need to give him another few more days, he wanted to see few mofe units. So far mine is still the best condition. There is 1 unit 2.0 6 potter blue, same condition as me but engine super loud. He does not like it and suspect engine got problem, even dark blue is not his favourite (prefered my white). Today 1 more malay guy from klang also will see my car, he is interesting, i will try settle out asap. I really like the 325ci msport but need to inspect carefully and price need to bring down to 110k or less.

No la ci not suit u, my opinion is E90 is more suit to u since you already have family (Uncle liow)
The ci unit is more for the youngster(Liang Chai) leh..some more 2 doors was very unsuitable for family use leh..

my only son is 3 year old, my wife is small size too. So if the price is good, i will enjoy with son standing on middle sunroof. E90 320 is same engine as E46 318 2.0, i assume its problematic too. The cheapest i found is 135+k its 1st version without features year 05. So if the ci msport price more than 110k, i will wait till next year only choose car to buy. Currently my favourite choice is :-

1. E46 325ci msport (115k)
2. E46 325 4 door msport (120k)
3. E90 320 (135k+)
4. Honda Accord (120k)
5. Toyota mark X (130k)
6. Honda Odyssey 2.4 absulute (135k)

haha, jus came back from workshop. Found out my expansion tank pipe abit leaking and changed, cost RM300. Now im sending my car to take out the silencer cause got sound, foremen told me the silencer if no good will result no power after engine is hot. So i think i settle the car and sell out, buyer dont have to spend a single cent on repair or maintenance. Just pump petrol and drive.

How about the ECU Remapping ? kau tiam liow or not ?
If not u must do it so that the new owner Betul..betul pump in petrol and go...

hahhaa that the pain of BMW ownership. But once done you smile everytime behind the wheels.

ECU remap ? dont wan la , already rugi alot. I tried to called up those wanna buy, but no one answer. Mayb today holiday gua, at least should let me know. :D :D :D teruk teruk

Bro don't mind to share how much u rugi for this unit of E46 since only using few months then u want to let go ?
D u really enjoy your rite for this short terms OR enjoy doing the modification of the out look ? he..hee..
As what you mention earlier that u being inspect more then 70 unit before u select this unit then why u want to sale it ???

Around 15k rugi, i really enjoy both rite and modification out look. Never tested 2.0 6 potter b4. This is 1st time. The purpose of inspect around 70 units is, b4 i was driving E36 328i. For 4 years i spend around 30k on repairing and maintain. Excluded i sold my car for RM24k. That was my mistake never inspect the car when i bought. So, i will not repeat the same mistake on this E46, and of course i believe if i have more choices, i will get the best condition. Eventually the same thing will do for buyer on my E46, they will choose the best condition, not because the selling price. Few thousand different is not many compared to later spend more than 10k for repairing.

When i was 18 till now, i was playing with cars. Many people told me 325 is good in power, so i wanna go for it, especially msport model. I wanna make 325ci msport look nice, force my wife driving it. I will then drive myvi :D :D

View a Japan spec 320i 2.0cc 2002/2007 last Thursday. Mileage 100K, fabric seat asking for RM92K, Exterior needs a lot of touch up, no service record, negotiated to RM88K. 320 really hard to find especially in Penang. Any view all sifu here?

Since so many your friends told u go for 325 why u bought the 320 oh.. aiyo really confusing me ????
Some more u want to force your wife to drive it ??? U are very funny la bro.
I think this time u will inspect more then 100 units 325 b4 u buy, am i right ? he..he..
Hope fully u will enjoy your rite then instead of selling it after earn for few months.
