Should I take delivery of my 320i now or wait for the 2013 made?

Dear Seniors,I received a call frm my SA today that a unit with the combination that I want is available after someone didn't get his/her loan approved. My plan is to take delivery in January/early Feb next year bcoz then I wud get the 2013 car. My SA told me that they are not certain that the dealership will receive stocks by then. So they recommend I take this unit. Do you guys/gals feel there is something amiss here? I know there is another thread that asked the same question.... But, should I wait for the 2013 unit? Btw, another variable is that, by hook or by crook, I need to have the car by mid Feb for an outstation assignment.Appreciate all your views... Thanks in advance

if you're getting a car in january i think it's stil going to be a 2012 manufactured car. SA trying to meet sales target so typical sales pitch la saying not sure stock got or not.

Anyway at the end of the day it's you're hard earned money. To be safe i'd wait for March to take delivery of a 2013 batch.

I suspected as much too... Why I want January coz that is when my current car's road tax and insurance due for renewal. Well I guess if it's gonna be 2012 made than mite as well take it now...

I was thinking whether to get it now which only have 2-3 months more or wait for next year. I just afraid if they have 2012 stock next year they would give discounts to purchase 2012 car in 2013

2013 models will only be in Malaysia earliest April 2013 for imported. but for locally made, it could be earlier, if its selling like hot cakes.

it could be later as they will want to clear all stocks before delivering 2013 models.

The other thread talked more abt defects rectification... Well in a way, does tickle my concerns too...

Btw, the indication for the arrival of 2013 batch is expected to be during middle February which is 3-4 months actually. The SA told me that in the case of Havana colour, initially BMW Malaysia planned to send in November but now postponed to April 2013 due to world shortage!!! Dang

However, as for discounts, I have checked with various dealerships and all of 'em replied that highly unlikely there will be discounts for 2012 batches as the model is selling well.

The SA did give me a scenario of if I want to keep my car for more than 5 years, then taking it now or later, wont make much difference.

Exactly... this uncertainty really screws up ppl's planning. But then again, nothing in this world is for certain right?

when i was waiting for my RCZ, they told me 2011 year model was will arrive in Feb. I checked in Feb 2011, they told me they need to clear stock for 2010 first. then in June 2011 only i got my car.

so depending on your luck, you may have a long wait.

Go for it Man... I am not waiting too...

I don't know what's to come so I don't want to take chances.... Soooooooooo..... I accepted the stock available. Phewwwhhhh done. Solved, end chapter.
