I dont know why, but this story saddened me this morning. I was wondering if we all would like to donate a min of RM 10 each person for this person's family who really needs help. If we really have 300 members that will amount up to a RM 30,000 donation. It's just a tought guys, after all we are all car enthusiasts with a heart arent we ? read the story below, its also in our local dailies today. Sith SHAH ALAM: He may not have much himself, but when S. Indrappriyan learnt about the plight of accident victim Muthukrishnan Michael, he immediately went to his aid. Indrappriyan, whose struggles to pay for his education was highlighted in The Star recently, gave part of the donations he received from the paper’s readers to Muthukrishnan’s mother M. Rajeswary.
OFFERING HELP: Indrappriyan visiting Muthukrishnan at his home in Shah Alam“I was really sad when I heard about Muthukrishnan who must have had so much going for him before the accident,” said Indrappriyan when met at Muthukrishnan’s house. Muthukrishnan, 26, is now in a vegetative state after being seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident while riding his motorcycle in Klang last December. The front part of his skull, which was seriously damaged, has been removed and Muthukrishnan has to be fed through a tube in his stomach every three hours. Rajeswary, whose husband walked out on her and their four children 15 years ago, finds it difficult to make ends meet every month. The family’s only source of income is RM600 from her third child Kasturi, 22, who works as a clerical assistant. “I am not able to go to work because I have to take care of Muthukrishnan. My youngest son Anthony, 21, has not been able to find work,” said Rajeswary, who lives with her three children at Kampung Baru Hicom near here. Her eldest daughter Renuka died of pneumonia four years ago. Two non-government organisations – Community Services Network (CSN) and Community Development and Integration Association (CDIA) – have offered to co-ordinate aid for the family. Those wishing to help can contact CSN secretary Mohan Ramakrishnan at 012-254 3656 or CDIA secretary Firoza Buranudeen at 012-206 6240 or e-mail csn_malaysia@yahoo.com” csn_malaysia@yahoo.com.
