my just lowerd and change all the 4 absorber mouting also cannot solve the problem . what could it be la ? i was thinking to add a rubber pad at the place where the spring sit on dont know wether can solve it or not need some advice from you all here pls help tq .

i use to thought that my car also senget sebelah when parking at my condo parking lot. tengok punya tengok, cement memang tak rata... :p

same problem I was told that my car also senget by my son but so far did'nt measure yet, why seems many do complain or was done on purpose.

yeah..mine too.

Measured on flat surface, right front & rear higher by 1 cm..

Why ar ??? :dunno:

i do see some bmw have the same problem wit me , anyone knows what is the problem ?

Which side is lower?

Weight distribution of heavy components, e.g., exhaust system, alternator, battery, etc, could have some bearing on the problem.

Seriously, the "problem" is not a significant one. Just ignore it.

Same problem with Mercedes Benz, particularly, W126 300SE.

BMW is very famous for being senget one side.

In Europe, the driver sits on the left. Steering wheel on the left. To compensate, BMW put the battery to the right. When driver gets into the car, the car is perfectly balanced.

For RHD markets, BMW moved the steering to the right without moving the battery. So, senget.

Solution?

1. Get a heavy girlfriend.
2. Put all your stuff in the left.
3. Make any passengers sit in the left first.

ok but the problem is , when i stuck my fingers in to the front fender to check the clearance, the result ;

left side tire = two finger
right side tire =not even one finger

back side .
left tire = two finger
right tire =cover half or the tire

so how ?

i always buy a dozen mineral water from shell for 12.90. cheap. put one carton on the left hand side.

;)

... just to get to nearest mechanic la. must check ady. 2 fingers and barely one is just to big difference. if anyone tell you it's normal then that person very selamba ady lor.

Vincent,

Where is your battery locate ??

Is your car empty with your stuff ?

Is your tyre pressure all same ??

Is your spring install correctly ??

Let say All done..

U can actually adjust any of the absorbers to compensate with other absorbers.

Add the washer on the absorber piston before install the absorber top mounting..

i came across this experience when i removing the complete set of absorbers from a brand new BMW from production plant...

Hope this help... Thanks

Regards,
Kinaka

sorry, did not know it was that serious.

something is definitely wrong.

how old are your springs and shock? you might need to change them.

not intended to the sifus who gave their input. just to say dont second guess it. just get one or two opinion from BMW workshops. especially if one of them tell you it's normal. why drive and Ultimate Driving Machine with a worried face.

it's Banyak Makan Wang car not Banyak Takut Pandu car lar

What i notice for e30 is front right sagging a bit. Got battery, exhaust outlet and wiper water reservoir. After changing to new lowered springs, still got senget a bit on front right.

something a miss in engineering drawing during production.....still, normal for E36(others not sure)...to senget on one side. And E36 absorbers (rear) tends to fail after 60k mileage....about 2 yrs of normal driving....

vincent, you can ask richard at titan suspension to level your rear

or you can wait on this thread for all the tcss.

My ride has the same problem with Vincent's. I thought only I had the problem but this is a common problem here. I wonder why? :) :)
